my friends, many of them straight read my blog regularly. They like hearing a different view point, and I try to right it in a way where agree or disagree with my ideology it's at least interesting enough to stick with it!

What do you mean by 'Gay Blog' exactly? I think it depends on whether or not your subject matter is of interest to your readers, and less to do with the fact the blog reflects gay culture.

gay blog would mean "it was well designed"

no, i don't as a rule and less they were really good guitar players or had something of interest to say that appealed to me.

I'm not sure what a "gay blog" is. I read blogs by gay people, which sometimes reference gay issues, and political blogs that address gay issues, but I'm having a hard time getting my mind around the concept of a blog ABOUT being gay--I don't really read blogs about other people's relationships, regardless of their gender preferences.

      Check out www.blackgaygossip.com. It's a gay blog

Woah! Been to your blog and the rectal exam diagram will probably scare away straight men, yes! LOL

I would suggest, write from your heart, but think also about who your targeted audience is. Do you want a blog just for gay men, or the GLBTI community, or something for everyone? Let your writing and posting reflect that. These are just suggestions. Hope they help you!

      i'm not going

however, being gay is normal way of life for some people, and that's fine with me

I'll read a blog by hot lesbians. Does that count?

I'll read any blog that sparks my interest or answers a question I may have. I don't care if the blogger is gay or not.

@SpiritualBloggers--tnx for the suggestions! I appreciate it hehe

I don't simply because gay lifestyles aren't of interest to me; just as I wouldn't read a blog about cats, auto repair or hog slaughtering - these subjects do not interest me.

However, if you are writing about a subject I do find interesting, your lifestyle has no bearing on my decision to read.

I dont check out gay blogs on purpose, but if I find out the blogger is gay, then I dont care. I did visit a gay porn blog before, though I swear it wasn't my fault they had a story on gay republican group backing McCain that I couldn't help but read

I think some people seek out gay blogs, some don't. Some people just surf blogs for fun. Plus, when you start clicking on all kinds of links, you never know where you might end up. That's part of the fun!

If a blog is good, I read it.

I found, when I first started my blog, that I was only looking for other gay blogs to link to. Now, it's all a matter of what strikes my interest, and even though I am writing about my life as a gay man, I am also writing about things in life that interest me - politics, music, movies, zodiac astrology and so on.

This is an interesting topic as I am deciding which direction my blog will take. I am not sure about the linking and things like that. I plan to check out some of your blogs for ideas. Blogging is new to me and I feel like I have discovered a whole new world.

I've read your blog and found the post or two I read interesting, and I've had similar experiences with other gay-themed blogs.

My question, though, is how do you define a gay blog?

One blog I read a lot is written mostly by a woman who is lesbian, as is the only other writer for it who I know, though the articles are about a variety of issues, and not all from overtly gay points of view (in fact, I've been asked to write for it, and I'm a hetero guy). Is that a gay blog?

I also know of blogs written by people who are gay in which sexual orientation is only mentioned in passing (like, if the writer happens to mention his partner's opinion on something). Are those gay blogs?

i guess if the author is gay its a gay blog, and if the content of the blog is about gay life and all its a gay blog.
  20. maccallister
    hmmmm nothing?hehe

If I stumble it, come across it in a discussion thread or it pops up in a google search, and is of interest, then of course I'd read it. If it's compelling content, it's compelling content. I've found myself reading about things I never even considered before, like Anok's anarchist's blog. But that's part of the eclectic fun of the Internet.

If a blog is well-written and interesting, I'll check it out (doesn't matter if it's straight, gay, black, or white...or even written in black and white ).

I suppose it's the same with gay or lesbian movies. I have seen some good lesbian movies and that does not make me gay. And some of them are really good as well. And many of my straight girlfriends watch the L word. I mean if the site is well done, and interesting then why not. A cool example? www.moviesforlesbians.com

I love reading gay erotica. Especially about gay asian men, becuase you never get to see Asian men really emote and be romantic and sensitive and vunerable. So I enjoy reading stories ...and guy on guy is hawt.

Fortunate enough, Spongebob is there creating some breathing atmosphere for everyone. Reading is okay, but I am totally (In my heart) against gay.

I think that any blog that looks promising is good...I mean its 2009 and gay straight blogs should not matter now right, its the content! i mean it should have been straight porn or gay porn..or something like that!
  30. maccallister
andelee is this how you found out about my blog?hehe
maybe i should take away spongebob at my blog if straight guys are bothered by his whispers hahaha
  31. HalfCrazy

PEOPLE check out PEOPLES blogs... what does gay or straight have to do with it? If it's interesting, I'll read it.

I'm the same as you. Gay or hetero has nothing to do with the choices I make. I read blogs that have contents that are interesting to me.
