Yes but only one or two, then again, i only get about 32 hits a day give or take.

IMO those who are using automated systems like the one continuously being promoted here at BC by link dropping into forum threads like this one, are ruining my former enjoyment of twitter.

A lot of spammers on twitter like the guy above. Have about 35 real followers.

I agree about the above fellow.

Does Twitter Ad traffic to your Blog Site?

No. It's crawling with spammers who send out bot armies that keep becoming my followers. I find it annoying that I have to spend time deleting them.

I like using twitter to chat with friends and that's about it.

If you are joining twitter just to promote your blog, then don't bother.

It is about as interesting as watching paint dry when people like that join.

Other than that, I really enjoy it and once you find interesting people/organisations to follow it is an interesting thing indeedy.

      I disagree.

I find it very interesting, but then I make use of the hash tags to make sure I only see subject matters I want to see and only share subject matter with those who are interested in those topics/issues.

To watch the general Twitter feed would surely drive me nuts.

      You disagree with what?

I find twitter interesting, I don't find people that join twitter to just promote their blog interesting.

I got some traffic from Twitter today. That's unusual because I have never even used Twitter before.
    1. rfburnhertz
That likely means you blogged about something another person found interesting and they Tweeted about your post.

Yes, it does. A little every single day.

I get a good portion of my traffic from Twitter and my traffic jumped decently once I began using Twitter.
I use Twitter so far as my blog is concerned to target those who share an interest in the issues I blog about.

I think Twitter is a great tool if used correctly.

What were the comments deleted by the community? Spam?

      "comment removed by the community"

Anyways, thanks for the feedback from everyone... I was just curious that's why I raised the question... Though I really seldom use Twitter to promote my blog and merely use it to interact with friends

Only Admin knows why any comment is deleted. Members report violations of the community guidelines for forum posting and Admin makes the call. I think most deletions are due to link dropping. The guidelines for posting are found in the sticky post at the head of the forum titled: Read Before Posting www.blogcatalog.com/discuss/entry/read-before-posting-1

      how are you?

People who know me on twitter will sometimes click a link, but that's not what twitter is all about. Be sparing with the link dropping, or you'll have no real "followers."

I have had some hits from people who did twitter searches, but nothing significant. Helps to use proper hash tags in this case. Usually just a one time thing then, someone wanting to take a snapshot of everything out there on a given topic.

You can only gain traffic from your Twitter account if your Tweets are relevant and worthy. Once your followers gets the idea that your Tweets (links) are useless then don't expect anyone to click on it.

    definitely don't have a twitter

It is hard to use twitter to drive traffic. You need more than 10,000 followers in order to have for example 10 visits per day
