I saw someones avatar picture and then another photo from a different angle. It looked like two totally different people.

Do you REALLY look like your avatar pic?

I do.........except I really do have a mouth and chin:)

    i do but older
    1. TheBloggerExposed
      Older as in grammar school?
    2. crkian
      I wish, thats my son
    3. Norski
What, you're not an infant prodigy?

      I'm disillusioned!

    4. crkian
      My cover is blown
    5. VampireFaust
You mean you're not the talking etrade baby?
    6. crkian
Sorry nope, perhaps I should start a new blog on blogging and money making by a 4 year old. See how many fools belief it
  2. ekim941
Yep, it looks like me only smaller
    1. Norski
Ouch. Wish I'd thought of that.
    2. melisasriwulandari
Hmm.. Your avatar picture looks like some celeb/actor. I just can't remember his name.
    3. oxymoran
Is the celeb your thinking of Pee Wee Herman?
    4. melisasriwulandari
Actually, I have no idea what's the name of the actor. I just feel like I've seen it on TV somewhere.
    5. melisasriwulandari
I've just searched for Pee Wee Herman pics. Nope, not him.
    6. calais50
Melissa, without clicking on the pic and just looking from a distance, I would say it looks like Luke Wilson
  3. aningeniousname
    Unfortunately, yes.
    1. ekim941
Do you type with your snout?
    2. aningeniousname
      Snout?.....yes...yes It's my "Snout"
    3. Norski
      !

We have our first non-human BC member!
  4. DrowseyMonkey
yes, only in real life I don't have a doll attached to my face
    1. ekim941
Then what is the doll attached to?
    2. DrowseyMonkey
haha. She's lying on top of my computer at the moment, she's so lazy.
    3. ThriftShopRomantic
The doll does the typing. Drowsey has her own Mini-Me.
    4. ekim941
      Lazy or drowsey
Is that one of those evil dolls that closes it's eyes when it lays down?
    5. DrowseyMonkey
thriftShop ... lol ... well, she is cute an adorable...just like moi.

ekim ... no her eyes don't close, they're kinda, well...drowsey looking.
    6. TheBloggerExposed
I was going to ask, then what is attached to your face?
    7. ThriftShopRomantic
If the doll is DrowseyMonkey, then who are you, blonde lady?
    8. DrowseyMonkey
what's attached to my face? ahem...beauty of course (rolls eyes)

the monkey stands for my sister's favourite toy as a kid...drowsey was mine. I have a pic of Monkey on my blog, but not on my avitar. I actually created this avitar for the fuel my blog book and then just kept it.
    9. ThriftShopRomantic
Ah! Got it. I love it when the story on these things comes out. I am always WAY WAY off on my guesses.
    10. Norski
      ThriftShopRomantic,

      I like that.
  5. ThriftShopRomantic
Gee, I hope so-- I took the photo just a couple of weeks ago.
    1. Norski
That may be the best response to date.
    2. oxymoran
But who did you take the photo of?
  6. LSKcrochet
You are very pretty ThriftShopRomantic. That avatar is a keeper.
    1. ThriftShopRomantic
      Thanks, it's just good lighting.
    2. ekim941
Can I borrow that light? Or maybe 5 of them
    3. TheBloggerExposed
      Such a modest lady.

      (referring to ThriftShop, not ekim)

    4. ekim941
      Thanks for clarifying Bloggerexposed.
    5. TheBloggerExposed
Sure thing, ekim. You're really not all that modest.
    6. ekim941
      Nope, I'm actually not.
HEY!!! I'm not exactly a lady either
    7. ekim941
Alright, that's it!! I take back all the nice things I said about you.

Well, ok I guess it was just one nice thing
  7. TheBloggerExposed
Yes, but my hair does tend to have a wide color range. Sometimes more blonde, or my natural brunette and anything in between. But I haven't had success with changing my face...so it is what it is!
    1. ekim941
Aww, why change such a pretty face ♥
    2. TheBloggerExposed
Aw thank you, ekim. But remember, the avatars are only 50 sq pixels!
    3. TheBloggerExposed
Perhaps that's for reasons other than I originally thought.
    4. Norski
Our #2 daughter has multi-color hair, too. Not unexpected, considering her gene pool.
  8. LSKcrochet
Apparently, I looked like somebody famous in my previous avie, and people where treating me like a celebrity. I played along for the day, and then changed the pic.

Maybe I'll put it back up someday, when I'm feeling low.
    1. TheBloggerExposed
Definitely! Who did they think you look like?
    2. Norski
      LSKcrochet,

The present one looks a bit upwards of okay. (And I was moderately surprised that it was actually you - has a more finished/planned look than most personal photos.)
  9. thebigandyt
yeah. there is enough anonymity as it is on t'internet, why lie about what you look like.

although i've been thinking about having just my eye, thats all the rage nowadays
  10. crpitt
It does look like me, but I am not quite that pale
    1. ekim941
      "Fair skinned"
    2. aningeniousname
I thought it was more "Death warmed up"
    3. ekim941
Could be worse, could have "Pink" skin.
    4. aningeniousname
True, I'd hate to have pink skin.
    5. ekim941
And long ears, and a snout, and a tail, and . . .
    6. aningeniousname
Damn! I forget my picture is up! Damn you and your observant nature Ekim!
    7. ekim941
Sorry, I can't help it. It's like a fifth sense. I call it, sight
    8. crpitt
In that picture yes I am death warmed up and also very drunk
    9. aningeniousname
What were you drinking? Embalming fluid?
    10. crpitt
Close, I think on that night it was tequila, port and sherry.
    11. aningeniousname
Jesus! They should call that cocktail the embalmer.
  11. LSKcrochet
I really don't know. I was chatting in a thread and someone asked me if I was "that women" in a recent movie. Jokingly, I responded yes, and the next thing I know people were asking me what I was up to, and what I thought about their art work.

    I'm so naughty!
  12. monkeytale
My avatar is much more handsome than the real me.
    1. Norski
      Sorry, no witty comment.

      I tried, though: Good one!
  13. JillSaxon
This is me at my happiest: right before a party serving free alcohol.
    1. aningeniousname
Ah free alcohol, the two greatest words in the English language.
    2. JillSaxon
LOL.. and even better when strung together.
    3. ekim941
IDK, "alcohol free" doesn't have the same ring.
      Order is everything.
    4. aningeniousname
I've never seen them put in that order before, how strange, are you sure it wasn't alcohol!!!! Free!!!!
    5. JillSaxon
Oooo, you're right. "alcohol free" is a sure fire way to get me not to show up.
    6. ekim941
      Childrens cough syrup.
That's why I give my kids the adult stuff
    7. JillSaxon
But then when you add a "s": "alcohol frees"

      Much better.
  14. SolReka
    I hope not. lol
  15. chicapumuckl
Yes, it does. Or better: It looks like my cats look like :-)
  16. bsilvia
Yes. Except I cut (over 60cm) off my hair month ago...
    1. oxymoran
just your hair...the top of your head appears to be missing from your avatar..not that there's anything wrong with that...I once saw an episode of South Park where Britney lost half her head and still carried on dancing. No one could tell the difference.
    2. bsilvia
I can't fit into picture :)... time to go on a diet
  17. jessblabber
Yes. I am cute, cuddly and adorable and sometimes find myself in a spot of bother.
  18. wenfri
Yup what you see is what you get.

Cept mayhap a few more wrinkles LOL
  19. Norski
If someone got within about 6 inches (about 15 centimeters, and someone correct me if I'm wrong) of my right eye, that's what they'd see.

You'll get a better look at what I really look like, at this webcam: www.brianhgill.com/webmaster/webcam/ (unabashed self-promotion there!)

It's updated every 5 minutes, for more than 12 hours a day, at one of my workstations. The odds are pretty good that you'll find me there.
    1. DrowseyMonkey
wow...I wasn't expecting the beard! lol
    2. ekim941
Oh man, now I want coffee
    3. Norski
      DrowseyMonkey,

I think known what you mean.

That beard is a little unusual, where and when I live. My wife has never seen the bottom part of my face, and has threatened to do some crude barbering while I sleep.
    4. Norski
      ekim941,

I could use a cup, myself.
    5. DrowseyMonkey
Oh no...keep the beard. I think more men should have them. I don't know why I figured I'd see the beard in your eye! LOL
  20. chicky401
Yep it is me. Is not a great picture of me though, I think I need some of that good lighting!
    1. ekim941
      Aww, you look good.
    2. chicky401
Thank you Ekim. I am speechless!
  21. ender
    Yep, exactly like me.
    1. DrowseyMonkey
      hmm...you're always smiling?
    2. Norski
      I suspected as much.

    3. ThriftShopRomantic
I still picture her as a Playskool person.
    4. ender
      @ ThriftShopRomantic

      DAMMIT! IT'S FISHER PRICE!!!!!

    5. DrowseyMonkey
I thought ender was a guy. Damn, I have everyone all mixed up.
    6. ekim941
That's ok, Ender is mixed up.
So you were right about that
    7. ThriftShopRomantic
Pardon, angry monkey.I meant that at Ender, not Drowsey or Ekim
    8. DrowseyMonkey
I'm not angry ... just confused on everyone's gender this evening.
    9. ekim941
I got man parts, Drowsey, I just don't use them
    10. DrowseyMonkey
      use em or lose em.
    11. ender
drowsey - well, if we're talking *gender* instead of biological sex ....

      lol

that's okay, you really should have seen the big "is ender a man or a woman" debate at blogexplosion back in '05, i think it was. was hysterical!
    12. ekim941
They might as well head north to be ovaries, they been looking for work for a long time.
  22. AmmoBob
Yes, it does... Is there something wrong?
    1. ekim941
      Well, you may have jaundice
    2. Norski
Depends on what species we're looking at.

I think we've got at least five or six non-human BC members, if this thread is to be taken literally.
  23. sellytapgirl
No. It looks like Oksana Skorik, the dancer in my avatar.
    1. ekim941
Of course. We all knew that
    2. Norski
      Thanks for that.

I take it that Oksana Skorik is a dancer of some prominence? Sorry, dance is an art form that I never really understood, apart from a limited intellectual appreciation. (Please note! Understanding is not the same as respect. There are quite a few things that I respect without any great understanding - and dance as an art form is one of them.)
    3. sellytapgirl
Oksana is sort of well known through a documentary about her experience at the Perm State Choreographic Institute that was just released. Not many people know of her, but she's impeccably technical and just all around amazing.
  24. vfanblog
uh, I've got the same hair color, but my hair isn't as long.
  25. Donlewis
I'm a little more handsome. I had to cut some of the good looks out because my wife is so jealous.
  26. offendedblogger
Yes, I look exactly like this only without the sailor suit.
    1. Norski
      Riiight.

      Absolutely - no - comment.
    2. offendedblogger
      You know it's true.
    3. Donlewis
      send pictures

      (without the sailor suit)
    4. offendedblogger
Sending pictures of the sailor suit now.
  27. thedeathkid
this is me alright. right on the edge.
  28. Theresa111
My avatar is a pastry work called pastilliage and here is a link to a site showing exquisite workmanship of this art.

    www.chocolatework.com/pastillage/pastillage_showpiece_hotel.htm

    I look like this:

    skdd.wordpress.com
    1. Norski
skdd.wordpress.com - I think I see an Andy Warhol influence. Haven't seen that done in a while. The style can be quite effective and/or attractive. And is, in this case.
    2. Norski
www.chocolatework.com/pastillage/pastillage_showpiece_hotel.htm - Thanks for that link. I'll want to look more carefully, when I have time. Whenever that will be.
    3. Norski
Speaking of pastry work, I saw photos on skdd.wordpress.com of other edible art.

      Or am I missing something?
    4. ekim941
Great, food that is so artistic you can't eat it.
      Ya big tease.
    5. Theresa111
Norski, With those bright blue eyes, you miss nothing.

But by feasting with your eyes Ekim941, you won't gain an ounce.
  29. lasunrose
My avatar is a picture of me, so it definitely looks like me!
  30. chinamatt
Of course my avatar looks like me. I'm just a happy clown.
    1. ekim941
Yes, but can I get a number 5 with coke
  31. oxymoran
yep its me..well at least the pose is me if not the actual body.
    1. offendedblogger
Hey, are you flipping us off?

      WTF?!!!

  32. WendyWings
    Yes it does
  33. melisasriwulandari
Personally, I feel I'm not ready to show my real face to the world yet. I'm not photogenic.
  34. dotartdude
No, but I'd be concerned if it did.
  35. gosmelltheflowers
Ours captures our combined talents....so yes!
  36. earthandeconomy
No, but it looks like the way I code. Now this is one good looking logo!

  37. vegetarians
No but I choose green because it suits 'Vegetarians'
  38. myriadlife
No, I don't look like a market stall. But I do get blown about like one.
  39. neonbubble
I'm more a dodecahedron than a sphere in real life.
  40. dued8jam
Yes! It looks definitely me in real life.. You can see in my avatar how wacky I am.... I goof around all the time and enjoy a good laugh!
  41. sophielc
I'm planning to get a haircut tomorrow; then I'll look exactly like my avatar!
Also need a boob job, and a nose job, that's about all.
That reminds me of Single White Female; I wish my avatar would get a good looking boyfriend, then I'll steal him and try and kill my avatar!
  42. lawrencevon
    soooo much.

    foblow.blogspot.com
FOBLOW. Life less ordinary. In photos.
  43. lauramichaels
No. Mine is from a Renaissance painting
    1. ThriftShopRomantic
So the real question is-- do you wear pearl earrings?
    2. aningeniousname
      No she is wearing "Vermearings"
    3. ThriftShopRomantic
NIIIICE. The aardvark is ON today.
    4. pointlessbanter
pearl earrings are better than a pearl necklace
    5. aningeniousname
And you can't give them the pearl necklace till you have forked out for the pearl earrings.
  44. MyBlazeOfGlory
    Yep, this is me.
  45. M7levels
lolol Nope but it looks like my dog!!
  46. sayzlim
    Um... somehow,
    like me 6 months ago...
  47. LSKcrochet
I just dyed my hair so maybe it's time for a retake!
  48. velvethammer
Kinda sorta but I have much better posture.
I was born on a Naval Base, thus the Navy hat. I am patriotic thus the American flag. I have red hair so there ya go. But I never have time to laze around like my side kick seems to be able to.
    1. timethief
Right so just as a guessed this isn't you: it's from days gone by. I don't get why a self-proclaimed patriot would choose an avatar that is pointing its butt end at the flag of his/her country but to each their own.
