Does your blog style represent your home decor? clothing style?

I'm curious sometimes as I read blogs with clutter, color, warmth, etc. and other blogs that are clean and simple, if they reflect the personal style of the author.

I have a blog without much color or clutter and I have a home with tons of color. even my clothes are colorful. I like a little clutter here and there ... even my garden is somewhat cluttered. I like to think my writing is rich and colorful though, so that's the primary reason I avoid busy graphics, etc.

your thoughts? how does the look/feel of your blog relate to your look/feel or that of your home?

My thrifting blog actually looks a bit like my home. Lots of greens and then a warmer color in each room-- either a lilac, red or pink. I tried to keep the same feel for the blog as the things I'd be featuring.

As for clutter, I use, oh... strategic clutter... in my home. So, maybe the blog's the same way, too. I try not to go too widget happy.

Only partially. It looks like my home because a lot of the paintings I display there are on my walls. However, as for general style, I have too many different ones going on at home for them all to be represented on the blog. My living room is traditional, the 2nd bathroom is tropical & the den is rustic, for example.

Yes. My blog is a visual mess but the posts are a lot of fun. With 3 kids age 6 and under, my house is an absolute pit but we have a lot of fun.

No, my blog design tells visitors that I have a soft side for new and modern things and things that look simplistic, and shiny.

My home although is decorated in traditional Indian-Arabian decor.

Edit: Although for the month of October, my blog is going pink to raise awareness for breast cancer. pinkforoctober.org/

That's funny - never thought about it before, but I guess my home and my blog represent me and my style. Clean, uncluttered, warm colors, simple. Not too much STUFF. We've moved too many tiems, and somehow when you do that, you realize that maybe you don't need that trinket/thing/piece as much as you thought. :-)

Well, my room is yellow. It's cluttered but clean and I like artsy stuff you know scrapbooking and my blog is like one a scrapbook.

Interesting question, I have a few blogs, the content is similar to my home and clothing with a mix of off beat found things but the graphic themes of the site are tailored more to the topic, although they still reflect personal preferences to some extent.

Interesting questions. I would have to say that both my blogs reflect me. Both my wordpress and blogger blog talk about our business and I also use a lot of images of our nautical signal flags. In my apartment there is nautical decor in almost every room. Pictures,signal flag valances and wooden ships.

My blog is mostly green, although my logo includes an actual yellow brick road. It is more about my blog's theme of travel and the Midwest. I decorate more eclectically - though I suppose that is evident in my blog's posts.

However, the colors in my house are very different. Mostly, it is red, black and purple.

Yeah mine definitely represent me and my home

I am obsessed by the colours I have chosen for my personal blog, altho I have seen some other styles in the colours I have, that I wouldn't mind trying out eventually.

And yes my house is a bit cluttery like my blog, but a tidy cluttery if there is such a thing ! LOL

My photography represents another side of me ;-)

My blog's theme and colors represents it's name, I don't do ocean or beach decor in my home. I think the water/ocean does reflect my changeability though.
