Had an especially weird dream last night. I'll get right to it -

Traveling, somewhat lost in a foreign country, In the middle of a big city with 4 friends. Maybe 3 - Were found a bench on the shoulder of a highway - so we sat there for a while, my friends looked at the map and I just looked around - there was soo much stuff happening, cars whizzing by us people having fun on the balconies of the apt. complexes I could see from my vantage point.

It seemed like I was in the middle of it all - anyway so time goes on and a building starts to lean, and fires break out all over it. I made a statement to my friends who said 'oh no, the buildings falling' but not panicky, sort of relaxed - everything was relaxed, even with the building leaning over more and more, finally it collapsed, sideways.

Suddenly cars starting tumbling towards us, and we scattered - I had a car come right at me - in real life it would have killed me for sure, falling right on top of me and my vision narrowed significantly, sort of like I was dieing? But it didn't kill me and I didn't wake up, there was no pain and the dream was actually somewhat delightful - I can't remeber anything after the vision narrowing.

The next dream in the sequence was a train riding dream, I assume we were on the way home so I also assume my friends were'nt killed either. In my dreams traveling is always done on a subway train that rides above ground (LIRR?) we can go over water on the train

It means you've been a DROG for too long!

    LMAO!

Nah - just means that you've got a good imagination - you've been putting out a lot of fires - there have been some heavy damages around you - but not really affecting you - YET...

And you're going to weather it on the smooth train ride home...

That's very soothing WW, I'm sure the other dream goddesses won't have such good news.

Yeah after a while the spell starting wearing off a little bit

nice. I love that you picked up on the MAP - I hardly remembered it from the dream and didn't think it to mean anything

According to some, they say everything in the dream is a part of yourself. Then the idea is to go and talk to that part to see what it says.

      I concur with that.

I used to keep a book that I would write my dreams into.. long time ago - I found that at the very least, it helped me to 'lucid' dream - meaning that you know you are dreaming and can influence the circumstances

I've gotta share the especially freaky ones

I do keep a dream journal. I have done so for many years. From time to time I'm a lucid dreamer who is conscious that she is dreaming and dreams on.

Often this lucidity realization is triggered by noticing some impossible or unlikely occurrence in the dream, such as flying or meeting the dead. Sometimes I become lucid without noticing any particular clue in the dream; I just suddenly realize I am in a dream. According to the research of LaBerge and colleagues, about 10 percent are the result of returning to REM (dreaming) sleep directly from an awakening with unbroken reflective consciousness.

I don't like to do interpretations on forums. I can't do a full analysis in this type of environment. Suffice to say that everyone dreams and dreams often contain significant information for us, shining light on what has happened in our lives, or what is happening and providing insights about our future.

In many ancient traditions dreams were considered to be messages from the gods B.S. Goel, Indian psychoanalyst and author of Psychoanalysis and Meditation, said:

“All dreams reflect the desire of the jiva (individual consciousness) to merge with Shiva (cosmic consciousness).”

Not too much merit in dreams except for reoccurring dreams. They usually reflect your current state. Things like stress, lack of sleep, eating something weird, ect can affect them.

if you look at my last dream post and compare to this one, you can prolly figure out some recurring themes - thats where the real craziness is.

I did eat a bunch of cookies before I went to sleep.

Dreams have no purpose. They are an errant cause, autistic, separating simultaneously from reality and intelligence.
