I'm sure we'll get a good hurricane this year that should take out the power for an hour or so. I'm gonna suck up the juice while I can. Sorry guys.

      *Rolls eyes at ekim
    2. ekim941
Oh that's not right. Earth hour is planned, you have some notice.

      Awesome!

      Funny article.

You'll have to pop by and read mine once I get it written.

My house was nothing like yours. lol
    2. acousticguitarist
      Cheers

      I will,

you probably have a very different set of personalities around you than the ones I've got
    3. Dukepro25
      lol

Yah - the personalities around me were much different.

Does sedative mean anything to you? LOL
    4. Dukepro25
BTW - Your daughter's blog is very cool!

      It's awesome.

      Better than yours...?

      No comment. lol

Yep, shut 'em down here too.
We cut our lights and hung out around the house by candlelight just like in the ol' days. And I learned that I'm still scared of the dark. Yipes.
  13. Dukepro25
    Ahhh!

Yah - I felt real noble turning off all the lights and electronics for an hour.

But then...oh how disappointing to have to turn the lights back on.

    I wanted more. lol

    Or less, in that case.

Earth Hour doesn't happen just one day a year, Earth Hour should be every day, all year 'round.

Sounds like a Christmas carol or something. lol

I'm going for it. This is a great message to bring to the world. But I can't help wonder what's going to happen when everyone turns the electricity back on at the same time...

Watch the lights go out on live cams around the world. Go to thegreenmarket.blogspot.com

As the president of a consulting firm and author of The Green Market I am a champion of sustainable business. It is with great enthusiasm that I have been promoting Earth Day. I urge the business community and entrepreneurs to get involved in making 2009 a ground breaking year for Green. In forthcoming articles I will explore some of the issues confronting climate change negotiators as well as information on how to position your business ahead of pending climate change legislation. I invite everyone to visit my blog and share your comments.

I'm in. It's a great cause, but like Duke said, it shouldn't just be a once a year thing.

I'm in. I'm going to pump some Slayer from the stereo really loud. And switch on all the lights in the house.

Hey, that's job creation. Someone has to feed the power stations..

Earth Hour is from 8:30pm - 9:30pm your local time! (not 8:00pm) I guess it's good to get an early start though:)
