   I have two self hosted blogs, one is an "ad on", but it is only posted one a month or less at this point. I just made that totally image-less and took the blogrooling sscript Ihad running off the site. I asked them if taking the ad on off would make a difference and as he problem is my wonderland blog they said doubt it but though they showed em a chart they exact cpu usage stats I can't access. I know i do not need a dedicated server for 99.00 a month, when I said like heck they said I could pay 75.00 an hour to get it optimized...lol
   
   I have since run a couple of tests from some sight they gave me and found a few posts with images which get a lot of hits and those images were on a separate site. I did those other things but still have high usage. I was just wondering if their was another trick. I wondered about the cache plugin but read somewhere one guy used it and his cpu usage went way up.
   
   i'll go try it.
   I moved them to my site, I took out some other things etc.
   
   I know the hits are way up but they have been that high before so it can't be that. I use so little of anything on the sites it's kind of hard to believe.
   
   Oh I shut off wordpress tweaks which seemed to help some.

   start-run-type "msconfig". Go to the "startup" tab and removed all the crap you don't need running all the time.
