I have a Blogger blog and I have a brief audiofile I'd like to add to a post, that is in MP3 format. It is just spoken word. Has anyone done this and what would be the procedure? I googled it and started to go cross-eyed from the discussion of different steps. Anybody?

oh wait i have an idea , but remember u have to configure it properly otherwise it will play throughout the blog !

    Design your mp3 here : www.myflashfetish.com/

Upload your song or audio to any website .

Select song by clicking on the Make my new MP3 -> Upload the Song -> enter Mp3 url .

, configure it and just post the html in ur blog post

I know what you mean. My eyes have crossed, too. This is the code that worked for me. I assume you want to embed in a post here:

Position the curser where you want the player to display, switch from 'compose' to 'HTML' tab.

*EDIT* ---Well that didn't work. The code I typed doesn't display. Looks like you got a good solutions from Weemundo, thankfully!

Oh, I know exactly how to do this. Go to divshare, here's the link: www.divshare.com/

Upload your mp3 there and grab the HTML code once you upload it and paste it into the body of your blogger post. Im assuming you know how to past HTML, right?

Anyway, if you do it right you'll get a little embedded player like this one on my blog. Its just an example. thefly4176.blogspot.com/2008/02/true-message-we-all-ignored.html

Go ahead and play it, its actually pretty interesting.
    Anyway, hoped this helped.

    Buzz Buzz.

TheFly - Asante sana!! I was looking for a way to embed a MP3 file into a blog post and your DivShare suggestion was PERFECT!! If anyone else is reading this thread ... I endorse TheFly suggestion. I am using the 'free' version.

Here is what it looks like on my post --

Thanks so much for all your great advice!

I ended up going to www.box.net and getting a free account. It's not much space but my files are small, just short spoken word bits. Anyway, box.net has a feature to post it right to your blogger account. One caveat, it doesn't ask you WHICH blog but it sent it to my test blog thankfully. It worked perfectly though and played right away in a cute little player.

I then just copied the little script in that post and will paste it into the correct post on the correct blog when I get it finished. Very easy-peasy actually, as it hosts the file for me AND created the little player. Bonus!

Thanks for all the tips, I know if I come here with a blogging question I'll get answers

you can also upload the mp3 file to googlepages, and then use simple html code in your blogger blog to embed the file...

you can use [embed src="file source"/] (replace these '[]' brackets with the usual box brackets)

Thanks xtremer, I'll try that one too. All I found when I googled embedding MP3s were incredibly complicated procedures that involved long code chunks, incantations, and rain dances.

    oops, I forgot..

you can also use [img dynsrc="file source path"/]...

But I doubt whether it'll work in every browser...

thanks for the divshare suggestion, the fly, just used it. But I am going to have to learn how to use the google embeddable player. It is much cleaner and better suited for my site.

    Anyone got any ideas?
