Ever visit the Plain of Jars? Is it worth it?

I heard that the Plain of Jars is something worth visiting. Has anyone gone? If so, worth the visit you think? Let me know your thoughts. It's on my TO-DO list so far.

The Plain of Jars is historical site in Laos that contains thousands of large stone jars. They are just scattered everywhere in various parts. Archaeologists believe the jars were used 1,500 to 2,000 years ago by an ancient race. They suspect they were used as funeral urns or perhaps storage food.
