This article was sent to me by a friend I trust.. I read the article and it seems to 'cool' to be true

theunexplainedmysteries.com/moon-statue.html

From the article

"WASHINGTON, DC - A noted scientist has just produced proof that the lunar surface was inhabited by intelligent life: a 10-inch angel sculpture embedded in a moon rock.

Geologist Dr. Morris Charles revealed last week that NASA lab workers chipped the angel from one of the rocks brought to Earth by Apollo 11 astronauts 40 years ago, in 1969. Dr. Charles was a NASA scientist himself for 23 years but left the agency in 1987. He still maintains close ties to many of his former colleagues."

How does one go about fact checking this sort of thing? Any ideas? Do you think it's real?

Call NASA, and see what they say.

I only skimmed the article, but it claims the human race has only been on the Earth for 30,000 years....

You may also want to research Dr. Charles. I saw the name Zacharia Chitchin mentioned in there. He's been known to create fake artifacts to prove his theories at times. I suspect anyone who works with him, phd or not.

FWIW the original post is found here

I also agree that if they are claiming it's an Apollo find then NASA is the place to go for verification.

Actually ... it originally was posted on Weekly World News back in April 2009

And .. you know it's true! Because Agent Kay said so..

      – Agent Kay, (Tommy Lee Jones) in the blockbuster movie hit “Men In Black” called us the “best damn investigative reporting on the planet” !

agreed - being that it's an angel would suggest that extraterrestrials follow earth bound beliefs.

Did anyone catch the date of the original article - I couldnt see it but it sounds like an april fools news bulletin to me

Even if it were completely true, still the "implications" they came up with are laughable.
