Fact VS Fiction: Which Fascinates You Most

It's been said, time and again, that fact is stranger than fiction. This seems to be accurate, unless we're talking fantasy/science fiction. Which fascinates you more? Which are you more likely to read/watch?

have to agree with xtremer. most of history is fiction. so is religion. seems like very little of the world is based on fact. or what we remember anyway. i think our brains are programmed to remember and joy fiction more. ain't nuttin better then a nice story

good perspective, if you're going to split hairs.... but let's say we're talking about fairly reliable facts, scientifically based, something like the elephant man...
Yes, reality is but a thinly-veiled dream.... but can you think of any story that actually happened (without getting into a buddhist/yogic discussion of reality) that is barely believable?

u know the astronaut women who tried to kill her coworker and drove like a thousand miles to florida....that was a crazy story. she was wearing diapers so she didn't have to pull over and had extra tank of gas in the car. crazy.
