About 5 minutes ago, someone tried to access this path on my website:

/index.php?screen=../../../../../../../../../../../../../etc/passwd%00

All together now: EPIC FAIL!

Has anyone else experienced a real hacking n00b try to break through their website security?

      I added an if statement to the first script that runs:

      if( IP matches)
      {
      die("Nice try. Don't insult my intelligence.");
      }

      Of course, my actual message was a little more vulgar.

      My wife is all freaked out over a couple of tape worms. Any chance my 4 year old can get these?

      Yes, it is possible. Call your doctor and see what they recommend.

    I use blogger, so my security is in their hands.

    this is an old method, too old but it does work on some sites like an online store , never know how those people kinda be so much lacking information on this basic hacking technique !

      If a trick this old works on your website (or heaven forbid someone pulls off a successful SQL injection), you need to go back to Programming 101.

    I confess ... I didn't want you to know that secretly I am a genius computer geek.
