   Neither. I watched a couple of the shows of each early on and failed to identify with the course humor and urbanite themes in them. They did not depict my reality, so I shut of the boob tube, and chose to either read, exercise, and visit with friends, and/or to make music instead.

   I loved the Simpsons, cut my teeth on them so to speak. But now I prefer Family Guy. The subtle and not so subtl humor gets me every time.

   it's like apples, and orange seeds. It was shows like The Simpsons that help shows like Family Guy come become popular!
   
   So, on that point - both.
   
   Now .. Family Guy vs Southpark ... that would be a difficult choice.

      Family guy. I wach South Park but find most of the newer episodes to be over done. Once they did the Paris Hilton episode they started to lose me. Although I still think the Lemmiwinks episode was so funny!

    I don't watch a whole lot of TV (and have posted a bit about this) but I have to give mad props to a couple of friends (who are producers/set designers) over at The Simpsons. A lot of the backgrounds were designed after various landmarks in my home town (my high school, town hall, etc.) Weird maybe, but I think it's kinda cool.

    Simpsons, although Iam tired of them, their jokes bored me even Homer is a funny character but in general Iam against tv and Simpson get me bored. Family guy are strange and I dont like strange jokes or cartoons with heavy and without sense jokes.

    I grow up watching the simpsons, so I will forever be a simpsons fans but Family Guy has a different type humor. My pick is both because they are funny in there own way.

       As far as The Simpsons vs. Family Guy! I have to go with Family Guy! There is just too much inappropriate humour not to love that show.
