My father made it difficult to root for this World Series.

After reading my new column, has anyone ever had a parent or someone in their life that made it "hard" to enjoy a fun past time?

Go Phillies!!! This is going to be the first back to back Champs from the NL since the BIg Red machine!

Let your son root for the Phillies; it's the right thing to do!

I think he will end up rooting for them. Thanks for reading my column.

My brother lives in Philly and is going crazy for this series.

Personally, I am a 2nd generation Red Sox Fan... which means anyone who can beat the Yanks is worth rooting for.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend... plus cheesesteaks. (It's a win-win!)

Die hard Indians fan here. I'm with Midwest anyone that can beat the Yankees...

    My dad made dancing unenjoyable.

You know Cleveland is the city that has gone the longest without winning a championship, I believe

I am a Jays fan so I would love to see the Phillies destroy the Yanks. I have never had a similar situation as I was allowed to cheer for whoever I wanted. Although, I do feel your pain since I am a huge New Jersey Devils Fan. Growing up in Ontario, I was suppose to be a Leafs fan so I took quite a beating for that.

I say let your son choose whichever team he wants to cheer for as long as it isn't the Yankees or the Red Sox!

Maybe he should be a Nationals fan or a Padres fan, you never see any of them around. He'd be original.

I had made a giant cardboard robot with flexible arms and my pop was angry at my grades or something and he tore it down

Y'know, TO... rooting for the Yanks has nothing to do with heritage. I say, root for who you want to and let your son do the same.

Also, I'm so sorry about that star trek thing. Rough. Very.

Yes, all that being a Yankees fan can teach children is that you can simply buy happiness instead of working for it.
