I never thought I'd become a beer lover, but girly beers rock my world. Even my guy friends have been known to drink them with me (they'd kill me if they knew I posted that!) What girly beers would you order at the bar?

I live in Germany, that famous land of beer and such, but haven't heard of girly beer.

What is it? Is it pink? Does it smell nice?

i wish! girly beer by my definition is any light beer (light in sense low cal, or light in color) usually comes with a piece of fruit, or has the name of a fruit in the title. think: Pete's Strawberry Blonde Ale.

I am hard cider lover and I think most ciders are considered girly. Strongbow and Woodchuck specifically. I love having a Black Velvet made with Strongbow and Guinness. Mmmmmm.

I don't even like Guinness and that drink sounds tempting! Have you ever had an apple bomb? Your technically suppose to chug them, but I've spent many nights sipping instead.

My great great granddad invented India pale ale which was like an early English version of a light German lager.
He made an absolute fortune and had the biggest brewery in Victorian London, he invented it because the government wanted a light beer for thirsty troops out in India.
He also had the contract to supply the British army during the Crimean war, sadly the brewery only churns out some chemical piss called Budweiser now.

Ah, so it's your position that the liquid before you is Budweiser, now, and not the waste product we think it is? Ri-i-i-ight.

Mmm... strawberry beer is delicious. As is cherry beer. Oh,and corona is my favourite - that counts as girly beer, what with the lime!

I did a post on "Girly Beer" and I felt the need to research this particular subject... strawberry is definitely my favorite, but cherry came in a VERY close second! I also fell in love with pumpkin ale. Unfortunately it's seasonal so I'm counting down the bar days till fall again!

I really don't do girly beers. Well, that's not true, Sam Adams put out a cranberry something or another ale for the winter sampler. That was actually pretty good. And I like a nice pale ale for hot summer days.

But I do not do "fruity" sweet beers, hard cider mike's lemonade fruity beer stuffs. I prefer Guinness.
