Someone else has asked before about your favorite Seinfeld episodes, but who is your Seinfeld character and why? And second, who is your favorite character on Seinfeld aside from the four main characters? And finally, why aren't there (many) good t.v. programs like this any more? (Is that too many questions?!)

Probably Elaine... but my favorite moments are some earlier seasons (up to like 5/6ish) when George and Elaine interact. He's so scared of her haha.
Second would be George's father. I love the way he get's worked up. -
I liked the Kramer character and, while watching reruns, I have grown to appreciate Elaine's contributions to the show even more. As for second tier characters, I think Newman added a lot and he is a sentimental favorite, because he attended the University of Georgia while I was there! (But I cannot recall seeing him on campus!)

I can't quite say I LIKED the Seinfeld characters, largely because they all had traits I wouldn't quite like in a person to begin with.... they were all fairly selfish, petty and self-centered.
However, I did appreciate their quirky look at the little things in the world.
Of all of them, I probably identified with Elaine the most, as her catalog blurb writer job for J Peterman was oh-so-realistic for some things I've faced myself in a similar job.
As far as minor characters, David Puddy was always pretty funny. -
Kramer made me laugh, George made me groan and Elaine gave us, yada yada yada. Jerry made me chuckle and the parents were priceless. Great discussion RIchard.
Newman gave me the giggly creeps.
