What would be your alternatives? I like dolls that have clothes to take on and off, that aren't baby dolls. People suggest the American Girl dolls, and I like those too, but they're hugely expensive, and ... they represent children. I honestly don't mind kids playing with dolls that look like adults or teens. They should have dolls that represent all different ages.

Are there any alternatives like that?
Or, what 'other than Barbie and Bratz' dolls do *you* like the sound of? What dolls do you wish existed?

I think I'd be giving my children lots of dollhouse sized dolls, because then they could have all different age groups and quite a lot of them have removeable clothes.
