Feedburner subscribers

Does anyone use Feedburner to subscribe to blogs any more? When I first started my blog, my subscribers grew steadily, but recently I've noticed the rate of subscribers slowing right down. However, I'm getting far more 'regular' readers than I used to.
I never use Feedburner myself, as I usually bookmark sites. Has anyone else noticed this, or is it just me?

I use feedburner for my blog and have noticed the irregularities in the number of subscribers. One day the numbers were high and the next they dropped by 69% and up again.
I consulted a friend who has been using feedburner on his blog for about two years now and gets close to 6000 people a month on his blog, and he says he has also noticed the spikes and drops.
My guess is it's good for an estimate.-
You may find that the subscriber numbers in Webmaster Tools may vary from those in your FeedBurner account. This is because Webmaster Tools subscriber stats reflect known subscribers to feeds hosted on your verified domain (www.example.com). FeedBurner sees all requests for your feeds, whether these requests are made to www.example.com/feed or feeds.feedburner.com/yourfeed. If a Google user is subscribed to the FeedBurner version of your feed (for example, feeds.feedburner.com/yourfeed or feeds.example.com/yourfeed), this information will not be reflected in Webmaster Tools subscriber stats, but it will be included in your FeedBurner stats.
