I spent 3 hours today recording Guitar Video Tutorials. That is not a very long time; is it normal to get fatigue after being in front of a camera for a while. It's not very strenuous work but it's tiring.

I'm familiar with audio fatigue, when your ears get tired, but is there camera fatigue?

well .. i've been recording my wife's marathon activities this summer with my digital camera, and I surely got fatigued trying to hold that little thing steady and getting a decent video out of it. Although, that didn't stop me from loading them all up on my youtube channel anyway

What exactly fatigued you ... playing? talking? staring at the camera?

what fatigued me. Trying to concentrate on playing and talking through techniques for a couple of hours. I found after 2 hours I couldn't concentrate properly, I forgot there was a camera most of the time.

I found doing tutorials much harder than teacher a class for 6 hours, I guess because I sub consciously had to watch every word, but I was prepared to let the bloopers go and make it more natural.

I speak on a microphone in front of people everyday for 3 and 1/2 hours and some people don't understand the mental fatigue side of it. I think I tire because of the amount of concentration needed for the job. Although I am sitting down during the time I am working, I am pooped to the core at the end of the day. To release the tension and fatigue, I exercise a lot.
