I just downloaded the latest release of Firefox 3...its the 5th BETA version and seemingly close the to the finished product.
So far...2 hours later...I'm shocked at the incredible increase in search speed.
Blogs seems to open almost instantly without that long wait, for the sidebar to crank up (all too painful for entrecard dropper). This sudden surge is almost like the thrill I got when I first went from Dial up to Broadband...but I admit I may be a little guilty of hyperbole with that claim...so lets just say I'm excited because its faster
With this being a beta version, I hope they dont do something in the final release to screw up the amazing performance...I guess it can happen if a security problem raises its ugly head...but I'm no expert.
Interested in hearing back from others who've tried the latest release
Or if you want to download it for yourself see

Well I owe it to y'all to give the following update. The bloom is off the rose. My browser 3.5 beta has crashed several times. So I'm afraid its still a case of rocket speed v reliability.
That said, I'm going to stick with it for a bit longer despite my good friend Einstein reminding me its stupid to do the same thing twice and expect to get different results...Al is such a smartass...he makes me sick.
