   I recently bought a used Canon EOS Rebel DSLR & I'm totally hooked. I hope to upgrade to something newer & w/more megapixels one of these days.
   I just wish it wasn't so heavy & cumbersome, but alas, that goes with the territory!

   D40 or D90 does not support AIS mount Nikon lenses which is a major pity for me
   
   I love some of the old Nikkor lenses like 55mm f1.2

      You should visit a nikon dedicated forum called nikon cafe. The moderators are all well above 50 yr old, running the place with decency.
      
      This is a section dedicated to photography and friendly attitude where other fora like photo.net or dpreview are infested with members severely affectected with personality disorder
