Polybore has finally (after months) pieced together a fix for an annoying flash player behaviour.

If you are using dual monitors it is very useful to be able to watch full screen flash media (YouTube, BBC iplayer etc) on one screen while still being able to surf the net or work on the other monitor. Kind of like having two computers for the price of one. Very handy for presentations as well, stream a flash video in a browser fullscreen on the projector while navigating your notes on the laptop screen.

Unfortunately if you are using the standard flash plugin for your browser as soon as you click on anything on the monitor without video the other monitor displaying flash video would exit full screen.

Happily having pieced together a jigsaw of information polybore now has easy peasy 4 step method to sort this problem and it is on the blog. www.polybore.co.uk/2009/09/how-to-stop-flash-iplayer-youtube-from.html

If you are interested in setting up a dual monitor set up or have any questions polybore will do their best to answer them here.

Could dual monitors increase your productivity?

Works with opera, Chrome and Firefox. No luck yet with IE8 but will work on it.

Sweet. Home work and full screen porn. I mean.... I got nothing.

Indeed the possibilities are endless. Going to be particularly good for presentations. It is a shame that adobe has not fixed this themselves. Would be easy for them to do and add an option. Especially as dual, triple, quad and more screen use is becoming more common.
