After 9/11, I heard some people mention that they would get off an airplane if arabs were on board. Would you be a little worried if a group of, say, 5 arab men in traditional garb boarded your flight? I wouldn't, unless they seemed overtly unfriendly. Have you ever been on a flight with a passenger (arab or not) who you were a little worried about?

I wouldn't be worried at all! All the pilots are locked up in the cockpit now with bullet proof doors PLUS the pilots carry guns.

What if you were flying in a country where that wasn't the case?

I'd fly anyway. If it's my time then it is what it is.

I haven't flow in years and years and years. Well, OK I flew in '03 - I didn't have a problem at all.

    I don't think I would, anyway.

Yeah getting off a plane because it has Arabs on it, that's not an over reaction. I despair sometimes.

We live in Dubai and always fly with 'Arabs' even though we're Brits....

    Keep an open mind people!

yeah, that's the need of the hour! And if the terrorists want to strike, they'll not pose as Arabs wearing their garb!

Lol! Good point. Look out for the ones with I love NY tees, ha ha.

So what. I am pretty sure they aren't terrorists because they aren't trying to pose as something else. The terrorists were trying to blend in during the 9/11 hijacking. Plus with todays screening, they would have been thorough. I would be more worried about an anonymous passenger having something dangerous.

Honestly I'm usually more uncomfortable when someone's loud azz baby persistantly cries, or someone's unattended ADD-child keeps kicking my chair. I belive that Arab or not, we have a lot more to be afraid of down on the ground. If someone highjack my plane and I die, at least I know everyone in my family will be put through college.
