Yes, but that's a silly game. And unless specified explicitly, I cannot be held accountable for assuming that "football" meant "football" and not some game that Belgians play betwixt German spring offensives.

Soccer is the best sport in the world. It is also the most popular. What else can match the excitment of the World Cup? Almost 1 billion people watch the final game every 4 years.
Soccer didn't start in my country, I think that is why a lot of people here resist it. I don't care though if it is not from here. You have to learn the teams and players. It takes a long time. The more you know about soccer, the more you will enjoy watching it.

You mean unless a cornerback grazes a wide receiver with his pinky finger, of course, at which point it becomes theatrics 101, complete with the over-used "jump up and look around for a flag, and even motion for the flag pull, then look astounded when none is tossed" maneuver, that apparently every skill position player is taught these days.

I've never seen an American football player roll around on the ground holding their leg as if it's been broken in 2 places and then swiftly getting up as if nothing ever happened a minute later.

True, but the sudden influx of "turf toe" related injuries costing me fantasy points in recent years has me fearing we've advanced down the path of wussification.

Erm, if it includes, the English premiere league, my team is Arsenal. I even play the fantasy team on-line. Favourite player at the moment is Fabregas. Don't know much about the American footie but I follow Rugby League if any of you are into that. My team is Wigan Warriors and my Aussie team is Brisbane Broncoes in Rugby League.(No shoulder pads here) -

You have to rememember the football players have all pads and helmuts on and other protection.
Soccer players have almost no protection on at all. It sure will hurt when you fall or get hit by a guy charging up the field. Soccer is very physical game. The guys on the field are always moving. No time outs are in soccer either. The sport deserves more credit then it gets here. -
My favorite team is the Vipers, it's the soccer team my fifteen year old godson has played on for last seven years. They won their division two of the last three years.
