I like 8mm! It's the definitive Nick Cage movie. It's like he turned into a different actor after that movie... an actor that isn't quite as good and has questionable hair.

I like well written music from any genre--I prefer the music itself to be emotionally expressive so that it can make a statement on its own regardless of the lyrics. If the lyrics do something great on top of that, it's a bonus. Lately I'm big on Emery and I have always enjoyed Stone Temple Pilots for their incredible chord progressions.

I haven't watched a movie for a while, but 1997's Romeo and Juliet has been favorite due to Baz Luhrman's amazing vision. In second place is Sweeney Todd, mostly for the brilliant music. Then there is A.I. and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Oh... and late 70's/early 80's stuff like the Charlie Brown movies.

Television is strictly online at either the NBC or ABC websites. "The Office" is one of my favorite shows ever!

I read self-help books and dating books because there are many simple bits of information that can dramatically change the outcome of your life (and they have).

My heroes are the underdogs of the past who took a stand for our freedom to think and believe differently than the majority. I don't have to be burned alive for being a heretic now. Also, all of the innocent animals that want nothing more than to peacefully munch on grass and raise their young, who are taken as slaves, beaten, sliced, burned, mutilated and ultimately killed just because someone thinks they taste good. I can't imagine having to endure so much torture. The fact that they have done nothing to deserve it and still press on makes them great heroes to me.
