free hosting to paid hosting

Hello guys, I am not quite so sure about this, I am using a free hosting right now and wanted to transfer it soon to a paid hosting. Does anyone already tried or has an experience like this?
I just wanted to know if does it bother you guys during transfer and your files is also intact when transfer is successful.

You haven't said which blogging software you intend to use. If it's self hosted wordpress then I do have a post that specifically addresses this tansition.

Thanks for the information mate. I am using wordpress for all i know wordpress can be installed in any linux hosting.
last night I read reviews for the top 10 webhosting and one of it is bluehost. The price is good but there are features of their hosting which i need that does not include to their package and the other hosting provider has its file size limits and yet they did not mentioned it in their website.
for me choosing a webhosting company would be a difficult one. I need feed backs from you guys about your hosting company before i can have one :-)
