Free permament front page exposure for 100 blogs...

Get your blog permanently listed on the front page of a new blog.
I will be reviewing and approving 100 blogs which will appear on the front page of '100 Weblogs' - 100weblogs.blogspot.com . Each blog will also have an individual entry on a separate page.
No spam blogs, blogs with heavy advertising or new blogs (unless they're already very popular) will be accepted.
I'll be contacting some other bloggers directly but as I've been helped a lot by the BC community, I wanted to give BC members a chance to get on the site first. Also I know there are some great blogs here that deserve more exposure than they get at the moment.
Please let me know what you think of the idea and ask any questions if you're interested.

What sort of information will you be using for the pages?

I'm giving people the option to write their own entry, subject to edits & approval and with a max words limit etc. Otherwise I'll take a quote from the person's about page or failing that, write a quick note to say what their site's about, plus mention any important links e.g. to archive pages etc
(re the mention of reviewing the sites, that's purely to make sure the sites are good sites, I won't be writing the reviews up as blog entries)
I should also say that the front page will show the name of the blog, hyperlinked to the home page, and will have a one line description / tag line to say what the blog's about. -

I'd love my newest blog, Blog Badly (blogbadly.com) on there but since it only has about 7 posts I understand that you might not accept it.
If you don't, then MoneyMoose (moneymoose.com) is an alternative.

Lots of people have listed very new blogs (1-2 months old) so I may start a separate site for them - watch this space...

If you're talking about the Matt Nutts thread, that seems to be quite different, except for the fact that it also invloves 100 blogs (also it looks like Chris might be going ahead with less than 100)
I know what you mean about similar threads though - I've seen lots of occassions when someone comes out with an idea and it sparks off vaguely related, very similar or even identical threads in a matter of hours (or minutes!) I guess that's just natural though. -

my blog is fairly new but I will be making regular posts and I think that right now is essential for people to get into investing for themselves as their fund managers will only be losing money for them over the next year.
Also, I haven't seen very many posts in the finance/investing category and I do have over 5 years as a trader and stockbroker with all of my certifications.

Also, there's a slight change to the posting schedule/format - I'm going to add all 100 blogs to the front page first, then finish doing the individual posts for each blog as I go on.-

I think it's a great idea and I took a look at what you have already. Not sure mine would fit in there, besides, they are new. I hate to be the negative one here... but this makes no sense whatsoever. The link holds no weight because there are 100+ links on the same page, and the site has no pagerank, no traffic, and not much content.
What's the point? -
I should also add that things like this can negatively affect your page rank. It's considered a "link farm".
