I just posted some pictures of my dog playing in the snow on my blog. His name is Brock Lee (say it out loud and you'll get it.) See pictures of him here: theyellowbrickroadtrip.blogspot.com

Do you post pictures of your pets on your blog?

Do your pets have funny names?

What is the funniest pet name you can think of?

I don't post pictures, no. My family cat's name is "Google"... but not named after the search engine. She was named that as an extention to the word "goo".,... say it... it sounds funny... "gooooooooo......." Yep, there you go. And then my bunny's name is "BunBun", "Bunny", "Mrs. BunHead" "Bunny BunHead..." Yeah. Original, I know

Do you post pictures of your pets on your blog? not very often, but my dog and I show up on google image, does that count?

Do your pets have funny names? Nah they have like human names. Gambino "the dogfather" Vinccenzo, Manny Ramirez, Pacino Maria Corleone.

What is the funniest pet name you can think of? I knew a girl who named her dog puppy. Also someone who had a dog named sugakins (sugarkins)

No, I don't post pictures of my pets online - I respect their privacy.

My pets' names are "Soco", an Akita, plus there's "Daisy", "Grace", "Fannie", "Belle" and "Callie", the names for the Bantam Cochins.

The funniest name for a pet I remember is "Weller", my sister's blonde cocker spaniel.

Have to agree with you there. Respect my dog Lucille's privacy as well... When I think back to all the crazy dog names, one that comes to mind was a neighbor's called Kreplach...

Haha, I'd respect my dog's privacy but he doesn't have any concept of dignity to protect. It's hard to look dignified when you're afraid of porch stairs.

I have a few pix of my cats on my cat lovers blog. Their names are nothing strange. I used to work in a grooming salon and my fav name was "lunch box."

hey, there was a famous NC singer/entertainer named "Deacon Lunchbox" - I think it was his stage name not the family monicker!

maybe these folks knew of the Deacon! sadly, killed in a car wreck coming home from performing.. he was a "musical poet", would bang rhythms or a cymbal or gong and recite his poetry... they don't "make em like that anymore" ;-))

My dog's name is Mabel. You'd have to know TV ads from the 60's to get it but a lot of people think it's a funny name. I happen to think it suits her perfectly.

a guy in my trailer park at college (UGA, Bulldog Trailer Park, right at the end of the football stadium, now gone, sadly) - had a dog named Hamilton E. Burger III - best DOG NAME ever!

HOWEVER - I knew some organic farmers once with a beautiful spotted goat named Pinto Bean.. he loved people, would hang his legs over your shoulders if you were seated and watch the sunset with you! he's also follow you all around the farm, and sit when you did.. and dart around the yard playing chase with you like a dog...

best farm animal I've ever known..

I've had a dog named Beau Brummel, after the fashion designer, cuz the beagle looked 'so trim'! I had a cat named Napoleon (bossy littlel guy). My best friends dog was named Elvis.

...later - Jose, the "J-Dog" (after Flight of the Conchords, "you just take your letter, add Dog to it and the other dogs all respect you!")

ps - I also met "UGA", the U of GA bulldog once, on campus, there's a statue to him outside the student union, and they let the REAL mascot come up and MARK it daily!! (if he's in town) - HE WAS named "Mascot of the CENTURY" by Sports Illustrated!

ps2 - I have a tabby cat my ex-wife named "Tab" ! too original... I came up with Puffy, Woody, and Cooter for the ones I named - also Lulu after the lost dog Norton sleepwalked for in the Honeymooners!..

I love J-Dog. All dogs should have hip-hop names. My old roommate and I called her dog Trevor, "T-Rev the Ladies Man." And my mom's pomeranian Sophie is "So-Fo, Furrball of Doom!"

I had a dog named Fred. When we (wife and I) moved and couldn't take Fred, offering him to a neighbor, the neighbor said, "Sorry, we can't accpet the name, 'Fred,' for this dog."

    A stopper? No.

We still gave Fred to the neighbor, who re-named him George.

I do post pictures of my cat on FB and my avatar is a picture of her. Her name is Mena, but most of the time I call her Bug or Lovebug.

    Strangest name combination i've heard:

Deefa Dog and his friend Ceefa Cat ( D for Dog, C for Cat )

For discussion, I thought I'd add some other funny pet names. I had goldfish in college named Fluffy, Fuzzy, Cuddles and Ugly. But Fluffy turned out to be an evil cannibal. He killed and ate Fuzzy, Cuddles and Ugly. So he became Fluffy - Goldfish of Doom!
