Well, Gary Gygax-- the father of Dungeons and Dragons and role-playing games-- has passed away. He failed his Fortitude save and will be missed.

He was the master of all Dungeon masters.

Somebody, get a Level 13 cleric and 10,000 GP worth of diamonds.

The dude lived to be 69, though. His advances in video gaming have made my life more enjoyable, so I'm going to take a week off when D&D 4th Edition comes out; if for no other reason than to honor Gygax.

Saving Throw failed, it seems. A shame. D&D was a notable part of my childhood.

    Wow, that's hard to believe.
I also didn't realize he was that old! I guess it makes sense, considering I started playing in the 70s.

I suddenly have an odd urge to dig out my dice bag and poke at the old green-slime-colored 12-sider that's the last survivor from my original Basic set.

Tis a sad day for men in their thirties that have never seen breasts.

Way to stereotype. I see mine every day, and it's not really that exciting.
