Gay Rights: The End or The Beginning?

With the recent election to Maine and after watching Milk staring Sean Penn, I am beginning to wonder where the gay rights movement is going.
It seems that the gay rights movement has continued down this Martin Luther King Jr. style and I am wondering if we need a little more of a Malcome X style.

I think gays have a lot of rights but one law that needs to be in effect is this. If a woman or man is murdered or assaulted by the same sex partner, it doesn't fall under domestic violence law. I think that is bias. People in same sex relationships are abused as well. I don't believe in same sex marriage as your business should be your business.-
Well, do you believe that gays/lesbians should be given the rights that are associated with marriage? Do you not believe in same-sex marriage because of religious reasons?
