For a little under a year, I worked cooking and juicing for an adherent of the Gerson Therapy anti-cancer diet, a very strict vegan, fat free, salt free, organic eating plan.

During that time, I created and adapted several recipes that I've finally gotten around to posting. Anyone interested in that type of food, or anyone who knows a Gerson follower, feel free to grab them!

How has this therapy worked for the person following it?

It's been going very well for her so far. Her type of cancer, and the late stage of her diagnosis, made her outlook bleak. It was a very aggressive form that is so quick to spread that half the women with the same cancer diagnosed at her late stage were dead 6 months after surgery, many from brain tumours. She's now 2.5 years without a recurrence, and she gets full body MRIs every 6 months. Thanks for asking!

      That's good news.

It's funny, one of my friends mentioned about this the other day. I don't know anyone who is on the diet but I have heard from friends of friends that it great.
No salt? Sounds hard. I can do without sugar but not without salt.

Yeah I bump into people every now and then who know of the program. It's funny, but although I like salty food in my regular life, when I was prepping for P. and there were leftovers for me, I enjoyed them as much as I would what I consider my 'regular' diet. I'm not sure if it was the 'healthy' environment, or if it had something to do with the dishes being different from my regular meals.

This thread hasn't had very many replies, but it's generated a huge amount of traffic for me - who knew there were so many people interested in this type of post!
