I've been noticing the avaialbe posts over at payperpost. It appears that payperpost is getting real cheap. www.bloggernoob.com/payperpost-is-getting-cheap/22/

They are starting to offer blogger $0.50 for a blog post. What are your thoughts?

Would you write a post for 50 cents? I'm a big time sell out, but i have to draw the line at around $10 per paid post. 50 cents for a post is insulting even for a noobie.

yeah. I could find more change on the ground than it would take me to write a post
    1. bloggernoob
yup. my sofa alone has at least 5 bucks if i digg thru it.
    2. ThriftShopRomantic
Yeah, an afternoon with a metal detector in a park would be considered lucrative!

@bloggernood...I agree what happened to Payperpost that they're going so cheap?
It must be a sign of the times.
    1. bloggernoob
i can understand that time are hard. but, payperpost shouldn't have lowered the min for advertisers. It brings down the website. in my opinion, it was a terrible marketing mistake. It would be better if they had less 5 to 10 dollar posts.
  3. lettershome
That and about 4 bucks will get you a cup of Starbad's coffee.
  4. Financialnut
Wow... seriously? There aren't people out there actually accepting offers like that, are there?

    I'm pretty surprised!

Do you guys make much money via payperpost? I just signed up. Is there a lot of opportunity there?

I signed up for Guru.com and elance.com awhile ago and didn't find it overly promising.
    1. Financialnut
      Thoughts anybody?
    2. bloggernoob
i've made over $7000 with payperpost. www.bloggernoob.com/bloggernoob-a-year-of-making-money-online/14/ It used to be a good place for noobies to make a few bucks. But, not sure where they are headed now with the fifty cent posts. I think guru and elance can be promising if you are good at what you do. You will have to build up your rep in order to consistently get freelancing gigs. I actually prefer getting my own clients for design and seo.
    3. Financialnut
Great post. I'll definitely look into some of the things you've been doing.
    4. bloggernoob
      thanks trevor.
    5. PetLvr
by the way - that's annoying - bumping it almosts seconds after your initial post =- please be patient.
    6. Financialnut
Haha... sure, PetLvr. I'll be more patient.
  5. legbamel
I wouldn't. You can make four or five times that, easily, and likely more like 20 times that amount, depending on where you go. Personally, I have only done ones that I can fit into the topic of my blog, and I just quit the only site through which I do them because, really, who pays for a music site or writing site? (Hint: the answer is "no one".)
    1. bloggernoob
exactly. there are a lot of other paid posting sites that pay a min of 5 or 10 dollars. I just hope that others don't follow suit. it would be a damn shame for noobies to not have paid posting as an option for blog monetization.
  6. inbusiness
I guess if the paid post lead to traffic directed to your own site or blog, which lead on to clicks on promotions like adsense then yes maybe, but I certainly would not do this for this amount, no way!
    1. bloggernoob
50 cents doesn't even buy you have a hamburger at mickey d's when they are running promotions. no way is 50 cents ever worth writing a blog post about.
  7. cranelegs
let's see ... turn an hour of work into fifty cents cold cash.
    holy mackerals!
    where do i sign up?

    not!
  8. PetLvr
But - according to that screen image on your site .. isn't that 50cents for a "blog picture - 0 words" ?

That doesn't sound too bad - I hear pictures are a dime a dozen

    (groan)
  9. tiggyblog
A fifty cent post? Yeah, I'll give 'em a whole word for that!
  10. wehireu
That is ridiculous. It is well below a penny a word.
  11. mikeny07
I write post for nothing! Im not in any of that PPP stuff. I will wait until my blogs get noticed by someone big one day and the traffic will come.
  12. dickdick
50 cent is good starting for new blogers
    1. bloggernoob
really? you could probably make more filling out surveys.
  13. sjay
I would do a post for free. That sounds much better than getting a .50 per post. Dont you think?
  14. PussDaddy
Why would anyone pay for anything I have to say anyway?
    1. bloggernoob
thats the point. they'll pay you 50 cents for something you probably wouldn't want to blog about.
  15. melindaville
Wow, that's really, really cheap! Good thing I only blog for lOvE!
    1. bloggernoob
i wish i could just blog for the love of the game.
  16. COOLINGSTAR9
    Bloggernoob,
50cents can buy half cup of coffee here.
    1. bloggernoob
then image what 5 or 10 bucks can buy.
  17. Timmim
surely no one posts for $0.50, it's not even worth $0.50 to copy and paste articles let alone actually sit down to write something.
  18. Rich
I'd glad to see you are all drawing the line somewhere.
    1. bloggernoob
everyone has a line. and 50 cents is certainly over that line
  19. agung87
    i make $27 on 30 minutes from A.W.$urveys.

you will pay $4 for 1 surveys and just need 5 minutes.
    1. arshad
but i dont think awsurvey pays .
  20. tiggyblog
Pay peanuts, get monkeys. No serious writer would blog for that pittance.
  21. travellerspal
try other things insted, gpts are nice.. send me a PM if you want some tips and other ppc, gpt sites, in 2 GPT's that i have i earn way more than that and just by doing one trick and leaving it overnight..
don't be fool with $.50.. you can make more than that
    1. bloggernoob
gpt? doing one trick and leaving it overnight?
  22. witewood
Total waste of time. Way too m,uch still relies on high PR, which gets thrown out of the window if you as much as go near ppp.
    1. bloggernoob
yup. might be worth it for some noobs in the beginning, but waste of time and insulting for such a low price.
    2. kevinthecollie
Yes - I lost all my page ranks thanks to PPP. And then they were offering pathetic payouts to blogs with Page Rank 0, so i left them completely.
  23. qelqoth
    What a bum deal.

Anyway, I write all my posts for free.
    1. bloggernoob
you've never written just to get paid?
  24. Kiwipulse
I would write a comment or twitters msg for o.50 cents lol
    1. bloggernoob
they have keywords that pay more then 50 cents on adsense.
  25. adr9851
