Discussions

It's been a few years since I started writing about my curiosity, and keeping dream journals. And here I am finally organizing the thoughts; ready to discuss them with others who are interested in fearlessly searching more about our possibilities in dreams and subconscious knowledge, law of attraction, purpose, and thinking deeper about our lives. I'm really looking forward to learning more from other bloggers and thinkers!
PS. I am also an art student (more experienced in painting but enjoy fibers, film, sound and pretty much everything conceptual and creative!); definitely interested in meeting other artists as well!

    Hi,

I've thought a lot about the world of dreams, e.g.,

Why is there no sense of space and time within dreams?

How is that the Mind, the same one that exists in four dimensional reality, instantaneously, drops into sleep and dreams, and how is it that it that it is able to wake up?

How do we solve problems in dreams that we do not solve when we are awake?

Why do we, as human beings, share common symbolism in dreams?

Why does the Mind, not know about the physical body when it is asleep?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. Good luck!

Don't you think dreams have their own universe where we are all interconnected? Not just with people, but with everything this universe has that we can sense with our 5 basic abilities. Somehow subconscious seems to be much more of aware of our identity than we think we are.
I just wrote on my blog on what I've been thinking about time, if you're interested. Thank you for sharing your thoughts too!

    Hi there,

Yes, I began reading your blog, and I think it would be nice to expand on some of your thoughts and ideas, that you are presenting.

Yes, I think that in the dreamworld, there is an interconnection that exists that is different that what we feel in the physical world. I think many problems are discussed and solved in this world. Let's say, it is the place where the drama of life is written.

You discussed the concept of time, in your latest blog. I think dreams are an example of a place where time does not exist, and what it might feel like where there is not time, and what can be created outside of space/time.

i just realized i had the words subjective and objective swapped around in my post on time. it's less confusing now! i've been thinking a lot further on time. what i love about these things are that i'll probably never come to a complete conclusion.
and yes, dream is an incredible space because it helps you imagine limitlessly and i sometimes feel it is not only your subconscious intuition but a way to attract more positive energy in your daily life. to think further, and keep searching..

Do you believe dreams are prophetic? That not all dreams are psychological?
    1. kaorispoon
I don't think all dreams have deep meanings but I think when a dreamer starts to focus more on what they dream, they will begin to have dreams where their subconscious and their awakened mind communicate. - communicate about the dreamer's soul - identity, his present, his past and how his past has brought him to who he is now and who is becoming. He may also feel more value in every action he's taken, is going to take.

I believe that things that we can not in this world comprehend come to us in dreams, I also believe there are messages in those dreams, I believe no matter what there is a greater power at work on our subconscious level and that it needs to be filtered in someway so that we can understand it.

I think there are guides and if we do not pay attention to them in an awakened state, they will come through with a dream that makes more sense to us.

The amazing ability of this universe - law of attraction, don't you agree? Our minds subconsciously speak with the universe therefore what we do not truly comprehend the essence of, come to us But I think many times we tend to ignore things like dreams and the 'subconscious' matter because we don't like the thought of not knowing. I've always defined fear as a state of doubt and not being able to accept something we don't understand.

It’s easy to forget your dreams if you don’t write them down while they’re still fresh in your memory. Journaling is an important way to help remember dreams. Journaling dreams can make all the difference between getting a valuable piece of information and completely losing it.

I journal my dreams and have been doing so for many years. Sometimes I'm a lucid dreamer. Here are links to 3 posts that may be useful to those who are just beginning to journal their dreams.

Anybody do "Lucid Dreaming"? i am curious about it
    1. timethief
      Sometimes I'm a lucid dreamer.
    2. Chrislag
Apparently the Lucid Dreaming is used in different cultures, tetric Buddhism for example. I know someone who practices it. I am fascinated that one can be aware of their dreams, while dreaming!
    3. kaorispoon
I didn't know one could control himselfto become a certain type of dreamer until recently. But I do have lucid dreams occasionally and it's weird for me. When I have them I tend to control too much of what's happening because I'm aware that I'm just dreaming. I do stupid things in such a realistic scene, until maybe a few seconds later, I just end up waking up from it. So not many of my lucid dreams have been useful to me, haha. Hmmm

Oh my, I did two Google checks and the words "dream" and "dreaming" do not occur in your blog. I hope you are writing one now. If not, then this would be link dropping and that would be really rude.

i'm very into dream interpretations. Heck, I've even dabbled in that a bit here on the BC forums.
    1. kaorispoon
dream interpretations are very interesting. I've always been too curious as to how personal imaginations can be generalized into universal symbols such as Dreaming of a wedding foretelling someone's death. (Knock on wood!)
Because dreams are only meant to be a communication between soul and subconscious. But I love reading interpretations especially when I have kookoo dreams. Haha
    1. kaorispoon
It probably means you're sleeping reall well. Also maybe give yourself more time to think and reflect on your curiosity during your awaken state? Reflecting and thinking spontaneously do actually soften your mind and creativity

As yogi Berra Said, 90% of the game is half mental. Guess that would include dreams.
  14. fczamora
i love to interpret dreams from friends who tell me... my tools to do it.
  15. fczamora
but i dont; see dreams as more of spirituality of something tha has something to do wih the future... it's more of the things in your mind.

I love my rich dream life. I've read and experimented about dreams. Lucid dreams, Art of Dreaming from Carlos Castaneda and 24 Lucid Dreaming, I forget the author but it was about how aboriginal cultures believe that all reality is manifest by "Dreaming"

I've also had a few of those incredible Lucid Dreams, you know where you are conscious that you are dreaming, and you can choose the content of the dream. Very nice.

Then the lure of marijuana and its effortless connection seduced me, now I'm back to a clear head and exploring my dreams again.

Thanks for starting this discussion, I'll visit again

This is a wonderful thing. I recognize 5 genera of dreaming practices: hypnagogia, REM, trance, eidetics, and coma. Lucidity is represented in all of the genera. My blog has so far focused on basic practices in hypnagogia. I've noticed how those who work with hypnagogic dreams also develop in other areas of dreaming.

My first work in incubation and cross-incubation (ie. incubation in another person) of dreams in 1972 gained the attention of a teacher who introduced me to dream interpretation. A rich tradition developed from these things, leading me through the darkest places of humanity, the teachings of Magi, and at last to refinement and renewal. Some of the places can be terrifying. Dreaming isn't for the faint of heart. Neither is living.

You have chosen a great field for blogging. May you have a long fertile blogging tenure.
