  Disclaimer: I'm not a blogger with 1000 hits a day. So this is just my personal opinion!
  My mates told me this.. if you want to have a food blog, you need to have pictures of delicious food. What I figured out, (1) food looks nicer closeup (macro mode) and (2) half eaten cakes look better than whole?! Make readers want to eat the food right on the blog.
  Good luck for your food blog!!
