I have just joined CJ and tried registering to advertisers and most of them say the deny my application. Is there a trick to go about it. Help me please. Thank you.

What is the trick behind getting a publisher even if its one atleast to be rated?

the trick is knowing that they are relying on the information profile you fill out in CJ and your location and when you get rejected get on the ball and email them back asking them to reconsider, and explain why you think you would be a good affiliate for their company and your plans to promote their products to the fullest.

Wow, nice advice, thanks alot, I will not shy away from emailing them again.
Is there a connection to the publishers listing. Like if i want first to be recognized that am doing something and getting better with time so i start with the new advertisers who are also trying to climb up there.

I have no idea. I am approved affiliate for 117 merchants, and pending on 13 more merchants - yet I haven't sold anything from CJ in about 6 months ?

I logged in a couple of weeks ago, and couldn't access my account - I clicked too fast, but I had to agree to some terms first before getting 'reactivated' ... so I did. I then lost all my accruing earnings ($12.70 BIG BUCKS!)

So - I've stop adding new vendors and been working on Google Affiliate, who pay directly to my adsense account - albeit 60 days later.

Sorry, thats total stress, Yes i am also on Google affiliate but still new. Its a good arrangement to pay via adsense since you can write articles directed to a product you want to promote and double earn with google.

117 merchants and earn nothing. I have read also that if you sell nothing on CJ they won't want to work with you.

I think my wisdom is that when you get a publisher to advertise his products, you work on improving the visitors you get interested in that product back in your site so that they can help you earn. That means spending alot of time doing it. I think its worth it. Did you get back your CJ account PetLvr?

I've been in the building stage this year, hence the no sales. All CJ did was when redirect me to another page that said I was inactive, and to reactivate "read the following and click ok" (i just clicked ok without reading it) and my account was instantly put back to active status - minus the $12.70 i earned during halloween 2008. No real biggie, I guess given that stopped doing anything with them since end of Nov/08 .. Could have been worse and been $97.70 waiting below the threshold of $100 that could have been eaten up!

PetLvr , please advice me too as I too have not made anything from CJ too. Is it because I hve not filled in my tax information? I feel that I failed despite putting so many ads, I have not made anything at all.

Are you looking for publishers that relate to your site? may be that can improve your status on CJ. I believe its the best advice by PetLvr

The 'trick' is to find advertisers on CJ that match your blog topic and your readers. Let alone having enough visitors. I've been with them for quite a while and every now and then there is a sale. For my blog topic it's hard to find anything suitable on CJ.

thanks husdal, i believe its the best advice so far.
