Topics: computer support, website support
Heya all,
Seeing as I have been around here in the background for a while I would like to offer something back to the community.
I would like to offer all blogcatalog users free computer support when I am sitting at home bored (lol like I am now).
If you are interested please see which will show when I am online ready to provide support crossloop.com/GeekyHabitat.id
I have expertise in the following areas:
Blogs and Blogging
Wordpress installation & configuration (including plugins)
Web hosting (finding a decent host, configuring your site CPANEL and WHM advanced config and support)
Desktop support (Windows XP, Office 2000 +)
C programming (some basic stuff I did in uni
SQL and oracle pl/sql
Linux server administration
MySQL programming
Other database programming
Networking
Installing other web packages (such as joomla, mambo and other php apps)
Why am I doing this, because frankly I am bored and I enjoy doing geeky things so I would love to be able to help someone.
What are your thoughts? Or if you have a question not under the topic above by all means ask.
Stuart

secludedhabtat,
I reckon you also know javascript? I need halp about a bookmarklet.
If you succeed, I will link to you in my blog post!
http[dot]// www[dot] example[dot]com/?BLOG_URL(+link)(BLOG_POST_URL)(+title)(BLOG POST TITLE?)(+blogtitle)(BLOG TITLE)
I need a bookmarklet that will automatically change the parameters in CAPITAL LETTERS, relating to a relevant blog post, when the bookmarklet is clicked while on that post.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance.

i have written the [dot]s to prevent hyperlinking. -

Just incase you didn't get the private message (PM) on your shoutbox, I just said, please pop over to support.geekyhabitat.com and put a ticket in there with details of what blog software you are wanting to use this on and I will take a look. Also as a note I have never done Javascript coding before but am more than willing to take a look and see what I can come up with for you.
Cheers

Secludedhabtat: Maybe you can help me and tell me what to do. I don’t know if I’m doing anything wrong,
For a long time, when my blog's title “My Recipes” was typed into Google Search box, the title of my blog appeared as top listing. Today, it disappeared.
Maybe Google has moved me somewhere but there is no sign of my blog unless I type the URL. So, it can't be de-indexed.
My blog's title still come up on Yahoo and MSN. -
Hi Kirewass,
That could be a range of things, I could try and take a look at your page rank and a few other factors (or go even deeper and look at some google analysis of your site).
Please head over to support.geekyhabitat.com and drop me a ticket so I can discuss the troubleshooting with you.
Cheers

After posting to this thread last night, I was able to actually fix the problem myself. Don't worry, though, I know I will have many more questions in the future.

Hmm OK, I will see what I can do,
If you could just throw a ticket in at support.geekyhabitat.com that would be appreciated, just so I can track it.
Cheers
Stuart
