Giving my illustrations to bloggers for free

I have decided to let bloggers download and use my drawings for free... so now you can use my work for free on your blog. Download my work from my site hikingartist.com

Wow Frits - nice work!
You're very - VERY - talented.
I don't know why you haven't hit up the book companies to do art work for authors - a lot of your things remind me of the artist they used on Roald Dahl's stuff - but quite different, as well.
I really enjoyed your people sections on both blogs... and I truly enjoyed the houses - those were very nicely done.

If I may..
The best way to give credit is a linkback to his blog, this will help with pagerank.
When linking back, use anchor text to the actual image used - links like this hold more weight, since it's a direct link to content and not to a homepage. (No, this isn't considered a deep link since the images are on the homepage)
Also, HikingArtist - It would help if you anchored each image so they can be referred to like this - hikingartist.com/index.php?#image1
Or maybe I'll just shut up. The guy's offering it free.

Hey Frits - do you have any Jackpot or Slots or Poker Images you've drawn?
I looked through all of them - saw the treasure chest one - and the stack of coins one. But didn't see any related to gambling (from a GOOD perspective).
Unfortunately I am a gambling promotions blog - so I do look for things like that - if you happen to have one - let me know - and I WILL gladly use it to promote you! I'd put it on a side bar and in a post!
With credits to you, of course!
You're VERY VERY VERY good - and I still think you should contact publishing houses and see if you could get yourself an agent to represent you as a BOOK COVER ARTIST or BOOK ARTiST.
You could also contract out for Brochures to Self Help groups and things like that.
Contact them - see if you could - because there could be some serious money in it for you.

Great stuff, HikingArtist. I'm also an illustrator (altho that side of my business is rather dormant - I get more call for web/print ads) and can really appreciate the quality in your lines.
I imagine the 'free' illos are older ones you have no need for? It's a great service for the Blogging Community.
