I once had a guy call and ask if he could come up to my apartment. He needed help taking off a necklace. He had enjoyed a few drinks at a club a few blocks from me. So I knew the real reason he was calling.
I helped him take off the necklace. Among other things. ;-)
Maybe you could put a twist on this? -
Ok, so tell me if this sounds good then.
I told him he left something at my place the other day (had some people over)...so he's coming by shortly after I get home from work.
I figure I'll answer the door in my new "something more comfortable" outfit and play bashful, "Didn't you leave this here last week"?

Don't go on there trying to find some movie you want to watch...just browse. Their collection of movies is totally eclectic and perfect. Oldies, weirdies, indies...etc. Love it...I find a new weirdo movie on there everytime I browse.
Plus I love to watch Rhoda and Mary Tyler Moore show on there as well. -
Ok so, football or basketball then and invite a bunch of other friends (small group). If you're not into sports pretend you like them at least for a night.

Do you have a picture or something else that you'd like to hang or otherwise find a place for? Perhaps rearranging the furniture? Asking for a second opinion also gives you both the excuse to stand close together while you consider whether it's just a little bit crooked.
I suspect that you've already sprung your tra...ummm, played your ploy. How'd it go? -
