Well I really a retouch on my baby child photo.
And as the common saying goes "Coffee are better next door" I will be really thankful to you though I can't pay you for that.

I will write a post credited to you with a backlink for all.

I want a better clear image and background retouch or remove.

Please do help me on this. The image link is:

What exactly that you want to retouch ?

Can you be more specific as to what you want to do ?
    1. weblogian
The image is not clear as it was taken from a poor mobile phone. I want clearer photo possibly add a matching background.
  2. roentarre
Hi there. I could do it for you after returning home from work.

The photo is backlit, rendering high noise through the image. The colour reproduction is not ideal here. So this image would be better processed into B+W
    1. weblogian
I will love to see your work on it.
    2. roentarre
You want me to work on that websize image? It would be great to have the full size of it.

I would get back to you in 3 hours time.

You can send the file in the form of imageshack.us and post in my message box instead privately
    3. weblogian
      That's the full size
  3. roentarre
This is rather difficult. I tried to touch up a bit but there are not many pixels to work with

    Here is the shot

    1. Shuttercraft
      Lol this is awesome!

It reminds me of the movie GRUDGE!
    2. roentarre
A little David Hill effect there
    3. Friday13
Shuttercraft, you're right! I thought I was the only one who was reminded of it.
  4. roentarre
    B+W version

  5. weblogian
    Thanks a lot.

    1. roentarre

    4. weblogian
@Friday13 why don't you do me this favor?
    5. Friday13
I don't have time right now. But I highly doubt I could improve on what Sylvia did, anyway.
    6. weblogian
I am trying to make separate photo post each 4 photo submitted here as a token of love for my dearie.

I will love to have your hand on it.
    7. Friday13
I will give it a try tonight, when I won't have work to do.
    8. Stillthinking
That's amazing! I have some photoshop background, but I don't think I could have done what you did. It looks amazing. Can you post the tools you used in PS?
    9. timethief
      @bsilvia
Yay! Well done. She looks adorable.
    10. polybore
      Wow, nice work.
  8. Shuttercraft
I will give it a go!
    1. weblogian
Thanks for turning up, I will be eagerly waiting.
  9. dosox
    I'm trying it from MS-Paint
    1. weblogian
Will you able to do anything there with MSpaint
    2. dosox
      Lets try out
    3. Shuttercraft
      MS-paint! Gasp

It would take some skill to do this in ms paint!

You need to check out GIMP, it is a free photo-editing program kinda like Photoshop.

How do you post a photo onto a message thread? I want to load the one I have been playing around with.
    1. Stillthinking
      Thanks!

      It didn't work...
  11. Shuttercraft
I just got time to do it, I will post it in 15 or so min!
  12. Stillthinking

    2. weblogian
      Thank you, That was great!
    1. weblogian
Thanks Shuttercraft that was nice and cool.
  13. Stillthinking
    @dosox and Shuttercraft,
Did you both just try? It doesn't look like it worked for either one of you.

Oh, you just got it to work. It looks good. The color is great. What tools did you use?
    1. Shuttercraft
You do not see a image?
    2. Stillthinking
I see the one you worked on. Looks good.
    3. Shuttercraft
did you check out the W3 schools link?

      www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_IMG.asp
    4. Stillthinking
I did. It told me the same thing polybore did. I couldn't get it to work.
  14. Shuttercraft
This link will show you how to use the image HTML tag
    www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_IMG.asp
  15. Shuttercraft
Here is a more bright version.

    1. Shuttercraft
      Thank You!
    2. roentarre
Glad to see that you got rid off the specular highlights on her right side. I cannot stand clipping in images.

Nice dreamy touch to the shot. I guess there are not many pixels. You guys have adjusted the threshold to 1.5 blurr or so I guess.
  16. Stillthinking
    Dang it

I keep trying and keep failing.

Oh well, mine isn't as nice as the others anyway.
    1. Shuttercraft
your image is too large to fit on this page. re-size it and try once more!
    2. Stillthinking
What size is your image? I will size it to match yours.
    3. Shuttercraft
      320x240 pix
    1. Shuttercraft
      No problem!

      looks nice!
  17. Shuttercraft
I don't think that url is allowing you to link to it.
upload the image to imageshack.us/ and try from there!
    1. Stillthinking
      Thanks man!
  18. Friday13
Here's my lame first attempt. Maybe tomorrow I'll try again.

    1. Shuttercraft
      looks good
    2. roentarre
Gaussian blurr is a great tool.
    3. Friday13
      Yep. Especially when it's selective.
    4. roentarre
Is that Gaussian blurr effect on his nose?

    5. Friday13
If you mean MJ's face, that would be an over use of the clone tool. Almost completely cloned out the nose!

(if you mean my editing attempt, it's the result of a combination of blur and GREYCstoration)
    6. roentarre
Omar, you did it tastefully as I can see that you took time to focus on multiple small areas to blurr rather than a general blurr.

Your put a gentle soft light black/white gradient and it enhances the contrast a little more.

I can see some personality from your post processing style:

      Appears tough

      Soft inside

She is so adorable in pink!
    7. Friday13
I did everything except for the soft light gradient part. That was just a simple level adjustment.

I may have gone too far with the pink
  19. Shuttercraft
    was mine any good?
  20. Arcticulates
Oh my gosh! She is a beautiful baby! Wow! What a little blessing!
    1. Shuttercraft
      you talking about MJ?
    2. codesucker
She said 'blessing' not 'child molestor'
