Google Page Rank, what is a good score?

Hi I had my new blog up and running for two weeks and I recently started to read about page rank (new thing for me). My site got 10, is this very good or very bad? I just read som discussions that 4 is good? I do not get what value is good, and what value is bad?

I don't know what it means either. Where in google do you see that?-
3 is already good.
You cannot see PageRank directly but with software or specialized website.
As for me I use firefox addons like searchstatus (I will list other usefull seo tools on my blog soon).

Whoa, a 10? I highly doubt that. A page rank of 10 basically says your website is like in the Top Ten list of most popular websites.

10 is impossible: only sites like Google or Yahoo can reach 9 or 10

There are many Google PageRank checkers available online that we can use. Here are two links to checkers. Simply type in the urls for your blogs and you will receive the results. (You have 2 blogs and neither one has a 10/10 ranking.)

What is PageRank calculation?
Page Rank calculation is Google’s way of deciding relative importance of a webpage. PageRank is a numeric value that represents how important a page is on the web. I am so sorry, sitting and reading now. And it seems like the first page rank checker I tried said 10, but I understand that this is wrong, all other checking sites I have tested shows the exact oposite. And I downloaded the google toolbar, and it says 0.... But at least now I know what is best and not. Thank you for your reply

I actually tried this one first: www.googlepagerankchecker.com/index.php and the result is /10, and now I understand that there should be a number before the / so since 0 = nothing Alright, learned something new today as well...

You're welcome and best wishes with your blogging. IMHO if you follow the advice in the posts I linked to above and focus on these things the PageRank for each blog will improve over time:
* be a skillful blogger (read and learn how to improve your blogging skills - the learning process never ends);
* create an archive full of quality content;
* structure a search engine optimized blog;
* link to related high quality sites;
* establish and maintain a blog centered community and growing readership (organic traffic);
* promote your blog via social networks and other means;
* help the bloggers with sites related to your own who have become your friends to promote their blogs via social networks and other means. -

TT's advices are very good that I am building up quality posts which are often answers I provided to forum members. It is a good way to increase your site exposure.

A new question popped into my head. My blog is still not ranked, how long will it take before it will be?

The search engines can take 4-6 weeks or more to add any new sites. How long it takes for your site to be crawled and indexed varies in accord with the steps you take to get search engine attention. If other bloggers begin to link to your posts this timeframe will be shortened. Pagerank is updated 4x a year. Last round ended April 8th.. Hopefully you will see rank around July 8th.
It's not unusual to have a PR 0 it certainly doesn't mean your doing anything wrong. I had a 0 until the last update and I'm awesome at everything I do, I'm kinda like God minus the omnipotence.

So I just got my first Google Page rank, and it is 5 out of 10, a lot better than I hoped for. And thank you to timethief for teaching us more about this topic.
My next question is; how do I climb from 5 to 6 ? -

You are right on track and what you must do now is more of what you did before. You need to develop a strategy for obtaining more one way non-reciprocal backlinks and employ it.
