What is the Google Page Rank of your blog?
My blog Applying to US Universities
www.app2us.com/blog/ has a Page Rank of 3/10.

My blog solidcash.blogspot.com is at 0/10. I just started this last month, and I'm surprised earlier today when the PR shows 2, I refreshed 4 times and still shows 2, and later showed 0, maybe google is out of mood(",)-
Don't worry Mine was 0 3 months ago.
Hopefully yours will be updated to 2/10 soon.

I had 2/10 ratings when I still had blogspot.com on my domain. But when I purchased personal domain, it went back to 0/10.. COOLLL!! =D
Dont know how long would it take again to get those ratings.. HMP!!-
That's usually the caveat of switching to a domain from a blogger or wp...sad isnt it

4 for mine
I think the best way to up rank with G or Technorati is backward links from sites with solid ranks. Or at least that's what both include on their Web sites. Technorati lately really misses a lot of links to mine, if I compare reactions they list to referral sites on my stat tracker. Dunno why.
Awhile back, I wondered about doing a blog relay of sorts. Where I write about a blog, then that blog writes about a blog, and pass it on along. What would really make something like that effective is if you could tie it into a news item like the election, the pharmaceuticals in water story, etc.
I'm all for anything that increases traffic. I'm just not sure how to do it aggressively and stay honest!

I only listed two here at BC. One is N/A the other is a 3. My other sites are 5 and 4.

I really don't think page rank has that big an impact. What seems to have an impact is when the search engines pick up on a topic I tie to a national news item (sometimes that happens entirely by accident). I've mentioned before I have had requests for direct ad space, though I've never negotiated it. Maybe it matters in that regard, but otherwise, I never think to look at ranks. I just read whatever's interesting. I've seen pages with high ranks and asked myself how in the heck the page is ranked that high and I've seen other pages that were amazing and there was little or no rank. The irony is I wouldn't want to see my rank go down. Don't you love the conflicted nature of blogging?
