[For blogspot blog]
Do you know google has a website where you can get free traffic from?
Have you ever tried to utilize 'comments' feature in blogs for targeted traffic?
I know lots of have been discussed on this topic, and many people are asking to place comments on their blog.
Are comments are able to bring traffic?
Below is my example.
Today I checked my analytics account after 5 days. My total visits of five days was 635. AND 20 percent of the visits i.e. 127 visits were from the comments I had placed on various blogs (Direct referral sites). Although, I had placed a separate links of my blog withing comment, blog owners published my comments. As it was valuable.
Taking cue from this, I made comments and backlinks feature 'dofollow' (By default it is 'nofollow'), so that people can get traffic + BackLinks as well.
What you have got to say guys???

Ohh! my mistake. I forgot to mention that I was not intentionally placing comment. Rest of the traffic I am getting from Search engines. So i don't need to comment I didn't say that I commented to get traffic. Did I? I was just surfing through >> Found nice post >> placed comment.
Forget to visit 200 blogs and placing comments. I don't have plenty of time.
yes 'moneyrush', but only if you found to worth of comment. not jz to get traffic.-
Thats my take too. Be apart of the larger community, participate, and you will find people happy to reciprocate. BUT, make sure that you A) make relevant comments and B) your blog has content that is worthy of a visit more than just the first time.
And if you want to listen to "New Wave Hits of the 80's", then take a loot at my post today at infonistacrat.hometownproject.org/2007/10/12/new-wave-hits-of-the-80s/

I guess thats what you did in this comment ;-) -
I was going for commenting on 5-10 blogs a day for a year and see what happens in traffic. It was a idea I had because I wanted to make new contacts and get more traffic at the same time. I only comment on blogs that I like or have an interest in. I don't put my link on the comment page though. It is only in my profile. Maybe sometimes I may though.
The problem is my main interest is photography. My dial-up modem loads those picture pages slower then I thought. I think it would work though because most blog owners vist people who comment. If they like your page a lot, they could link it or do a review in a post on it.
It happens all the time. -
