   Clean the blade by wiping it with a cloth soaked in a washer solution. Rinse the blade with clear water. If the windscreen is still not clear after cleaning blades and using the wiper, replace the blades. {Courtesy of ... www.2pass.co.uk/blade.htm }

   ha ha - you guys! Thankfully my heart was beating so loudly (after several lorries tried to swipe me as they juggled flasks and cups on their steering wheels - honest I saw them!) that it even drowned out the radio.

   Also make sure your windscreen is really clean.
   But usually it means you need new blades...I think.
   well,.....I don't actually know.
   All I know about is lightning.
