Gravlax is a dish that has climbed up from its humble origins and now reached cult status as a gourmet appetizer. If you can even find it in a deli, it will put a big dent in your pocket. But it's not only easy to make (no cooking), it's cheap! It costs literally only pennies more than the price of the salmon you make it from.
