Great Tits Rip The Heads Off Bats

This probably isn't what you were thinking but who knows what you were thinking after reading a title like that. However, it is a true story about Great Tits which happen to be a type of bird that has a penchant for pecking the heads off bats & eating them. Yes, be careful of which bush you hide in and it may be a good idea to trim that bush before hiding in there. You don't want to get pricked in the wrong places from a prickly bush now do you? Careful of the bush shrike too.

For bush trimming I recommend large scissors. Don't use that electrical stuff. You might trim the bird off. Birds make life musical.

That is not a Great Tit. That's an ugly looking bird. I forgot the name.

They are called Boobies. There's a Blue-footed Booby, and a couple of Red-footed Boobies.

I've considered photographing some great tits myself, but I always figured the competetion would be too great.

It is a well known fact that the competition to be a superior photographer of Great Tits takes practice and lots of time looking for and at Great Tits and working with them to get the best shot. That said, you could still just have a good ol time shooting some great tits for your own satisfaction.
