I sometimes feel overwhelmed by the problems in the world... so many ways we seem to making unwise but inevitable choices for our planet. The solution is to convince most people to completely change their lifestyle -- yeah, right. Can you say "intractable?"

All I can think of to do is to try to use my own skills and abilities to be more responsible and blog about it in hopes that it'll inspire others. Was wondering if anyone else is blogging about ways to be more "green" ?

My blog, just started, gives examples of fixing or repurposing things instead of trashing them when they break.

It's something I learned from my Dad growing up. Usually you can fix what breaks and often make the thing better and last long than before. Or maybe find a new use for it.

That has to be better than shoving everything to the landfill, right? Plus it saves you money.

I hope I can inspire some folks to set aside the time to fix stuff and maybe have some impact on thee gargantuan problems we face.
