I was thinking the other day that there's a whole niche market for cards that Hallmark hasn't addressed...
Greeting cards related to blogging!

Something that is only applicable to Myspace but..
"Congrats on making the Top Blogs list! Your life is now validated"-
Yeah. I mean, I'm staying on there to stay in touch with my friends but I refuse to blog there, now that I have my site up.
It's just disgusting. And most of them just write about drama and controversial topics...or things that they know the audience will eat up, instead of staying real.
It was hard to make a difference and get people involved in more important things, though I tried a few times. -
It's one of those cases where you sorta have to just keep reminding yourself what your goals are, and concentrate the most on the media that fits those goals.
I've pretty much stopped trying to get people to read things through Redditt for some of the same reasons-- it's extremely competitive for reasons beyond my control. And some of the interactions weren't analytical or helpful-- just negative.
Life's too short.
