Do you still have a time and money of going to the gym to burn those calories?

Or its better for you to do your own routine at home?

You look like you have lots of energy. Go, go, go!

I have a gazelle, health rider (don't use) and a ballet bar, cannot think of the name of it, but I am going to begin using it soon. I wish I had a rebounder (mini trampoline)

p90x is good, just be sure to eat right as well

The ironic thing is I have chronic fatigue but I can manage it if I get enough exercise. The trick is avoiding the downward spiral...

And for some reason everytime I picture the "gazelle" I just burst into laughing thinking of that guy with the long hair and tight pants... just makes me crack up for some reason!!

I went to the gym today and believe me I'm gonna be paying for it tomorrow. I worked muscles I didn't even know I had...

I used to go to a gym but not the treadmill, machine type of gym. Went to NYKK (new york kungfu and kickboxing). Now I just go solo at home and switch between some kboxing, yoga and my taebo dvds.

Plan on getting a treadmill and stepper again (stepper is back home currently) to add them to the mix-up.

The gym I go to has an incredible collection of some of the most interesting people, the sauna hosts conversations that are at least as stimulating as the best on BC. It's located in downtown Orlando and the cast of actors include bankers, lawyers, artists, film directors, entrepreneurs and scientists. Interaction with people who are interested in being physically fit puts me in a very positive place. Biking and boating away from the gym round out the picture.

Um, it's cheaper to work out at home. Just get a copy of P90X, some dumbbells, and a pullup bar. You won't have to pay for gym membership monthly.

I also wouldn't have a half olympic salt water pool, sauna, jacuzzi and a bunch of nice people to socialize with. It costs less than a movie for a week and I go every day. It's my club.

    Either...just do it!

I am a fan of both but I tend to do more at the gym then at home.

I don't go to the gym, but I do have several pieces of workout equipment at home. I like to get on the Netflix website and find a workout video. I also go running with my sister or husband, or play racquetball.

If you are a housewife, gym is best. Housewives have so much time at home that they can go the kitchen and grab a snack anytime they like. Putting on inches on the waistline is far easier if you just stay at home. Speaking from experience of course.

There is no big excuse for me to go to a gym, unless it's free (my apartment gym) and I need some measured cardio
Else I always have the outdoors especially if there is no snow!
I find that doing weights improves my ground exercises so I like it, to that extent

Home. I hate going to the gym. Besides I have a highly qualified trainer as a hubby so no need.

does eating peanuts on the couch count as an exercise?
    1. crazyTsu
No... try throwing them high and catching them with your mouth

When I was actively dealing with sports I did both. In the morning went to the gym quite early before school. Then in the afternoon did some lifting and benching from home.

That was the best combination for me atleast and that's what I'd suggest to you my friend.

In the gym you can work every part of your body very effectively and then add some strength to that working out at home.

      nobody cares dude.

I work out at home on treadmill and use weights 3 time a week.

There are some good pilates and yoga videos on YouTube.

I do my own thing at home and outside now. Spent 20 years in the gym but prefer this now.
  23. agnespages
walking and swimming for me. and some yoga stretches --preferably outdoors.
    1. crazyTsu
Do you have any neighbors who are also in BC?
  24. CentricStudios

The best way to burn calories is to NOT BE LAZY. Walk to the store, stop watching TV, park far away, eat only what you need.

Gyms make a KILLING off the concept of mess up now, pay later...people all over the world just practice a non-lazy approach to life and never have a weight problem.
  27. artseejodee
both: I hit the gym for cardio & lift my mini weights, stability ball exercises @ home
  28. idealpinkrose
home... running machine and stretching while watching tv.

I'm doing both gym and at-home exercises.

My gym days are simply any of Craig Ballantyne's workouts.

My at-home exercises are mostly bodyweight exercises (also from Craig Ballantyne)

I ended up being a finalist in Craig's 5th 12 week transformation contest, so I guess you can say I'm hooked ;-)
