The best costume I ever came up with was for my sister. Half of the costume was a red skin suit....long sleeved unitard. The other half was a prim and proper dress. She wore wild makeup on one side of her face...demure makeup on the other. Her hair was teased upon one side and very demure on the other. Well, you get the picture. She went as a split personality.

  Great costume idea! I've seen one-half-this-one-half-that costumes before (man/woman, angel/devil, etc.), but going as split personality sounds very original.

  I've been putting a Winehouse costume together for weeks? It seemed easier than I thought... but after practicing the hair-do tonight, i'm in for a hellish afternoon of prep. I tend to get all perfectionist which sucks the fun right out of it. Good luck with Amy... she is definitely a tragic figure... check out some before and after pics!

  Conceptually, yes, but easy to put together.
  
  Basically, you go to a party where nobody knows you, and when they ask why you're not in costume, say "I am. Normally, I don't look anything like this."

Amy Winehouse I agree, is a tragic figure. Sad looking at her photos. But she will be easy to create, tease some hair, draw some tatoos, liquid eyeliner and done!
