  Jeunelle - back when I was a preschool teacher I used "pookie" as term of endearment for my students. I got it from Garfield - his teddy bear was named Pookie. Well, don't cha know, one of my little ones called her grandmother "pookie" and all hell broke loose. Seems this word is a vulgar reference to part of the anatomy in a polynesian language (that family's!) I tried to explain myself but the mom was convinced I was a filthy talking sailor! LOL!!!!!!!!!!
